I don''t think it is. The stone has to be moved for the different images. Remember that the diamond is sitting crown up for ASET and IS and pavillion up for hearts--which means that the diamond will be resting on the table, keeping it pretty straight. You are right that the ASET is very slightly tilted--keeping a diamond straight while sitting on the pavillion has got to be a challenge for the photogs.Date: 6/26/2009 7:05:17 PM

Could the diamond have just been slightly tipped when WF took the hearts photo? The ASET seems to suggest so; notice the apparent (but not real) discrepancy in arrow lengths.
I think both are quality stones. Go with whichever one speaks more to you.![]()
Totally agree with the last statement. Whichever stone, vendor &/or price you feel more comfortable with is the way to go.
When you get to this level, it is really hairsplitting - both diamonds are beautiful and should be top performers, you can't go wrong with either. It comes down to which you prefer, and also which vendor you are most comfortable purchasing with plus their benefits.Date: 6/27/2009 1:40:16 PM

I appreciate all the comments.
Can anybody here determine if the cut quality is better on either diamond by the ASET and Idealscoppe images.
I'm wondering if the light performance on one is better than the other or if it's too close to be distinguishable.
Thanks again.

Thanks Gypsy for the comments.
Yeh, I too think I''m a little hung over it being mind clean. But moreso, I think I was just uncertain if one stone would clearly perform better than the other. I think I have my answer now from you and others. Both stones to a regular non-expert gemologist would likely look/perform the same. Like, you just said, most likely only an awesome cutter like Brian would be able to discern such small differences at this high level of cutting.
I just wanted to make other more knowledgeable people like yourself, didn''t see something of concern with the ASET/IS/Hearts/Etc images/reports that I did not. Like, ''Hey watch out for on that stone due to as per that .''
But it sounds as though everybody thinks both stones are pretty even. So thanks for all the posts. I know my girl will like anything I get. I just want to do the best I can to get the most light dazzling stone I can for her.
You all have been extremely helpful. Thank you so much.

Been staring at these two diamond reports all day and still can''t find an answer.
Has anybody bought an ACA from Whiteflash post January 2009? If so how was the quality?

Yikes, I wrote that with an incredible lack of clarity, sorry Jet. Just meant to say that it''s common; my mind was obviously someplace else. Either way, both stones are terrific! I''m out for the night, but the hard part of finding a great stone is over, Rocky--I''m looking forward to seeing which one you choose!
Good luck Rocky!Date: 6/29/2009 4:48:04 AM
