That's great, honestly if I wasn't so happy I'd be pretty jealous!

I know you had the ctw what's the dimensions of the stone? Is your 1500 firm? Does it have to be in platinum?

Ugh. This could have been such a long hunt for you I dont know how you managed it so quickly

Don't know the dimensions yet. I would like to stay 1500 and platinum. Want to keep it fairly simple and classic. Was even thinking solitaire with a stone of this size. Just to showcase it.

I will advise you most people don't like true solitaire colored stone rings. Some gemstone collectors do of course but for an engagement ring I would strongly advise getting some diamonds in some regard. I am in the camo that says a three stone with diamond sides is a way to make a colored stone e ring look very "engagementy" , and youll have trouble finding a well made halo in palt under 1500

Thanks for the advice, I see what your saying. Brilliant Earth seems to have a fair amount of plat halos for under 1500. 3 stones under 1500 were hard to find.

Brilliant earth won't sell you a setting without buying the stone. Settings available to you for a stone you provide yourself will almost certainly be more than 1500 in plat

If it were me I'd get diamond sides, then get the setting in white gold . The setting can always be changed if she wants to down the road but the bulk of your budget goes to stones that can be reset

Will definitely consider that.

Any recommendations on places to get a setting?

David klass, a custom setting maker, typically charges 650 for three stone settings, that leaves you 850 for the stones.

Here's an example of his work , the other photo I posted was also a photo of his work.

Just finished up the deal today. Stone is on its way soon. It's a 7.1mm square. And about 4.5 mm deep. Excited to see it in person.
