I'm not speaking as an expert here because I'm not, but I just wanted to say it's beautiful in the video!!

Outstanding choice! (Just FYI, you don't need to put ACAs into the HCA because they are superideal cuts and have been graded ideal by AGS labs.)

Hi,

I'm in a bit of dilemma now since WF doesn't have the setting I'm looking for. I'm thinking of reconsidering and going with James Allen since they happen to have a preferrable setting.

I looked at some equivalent diamonds from JA, put them through the HCA, and was pleasantly surprised to see some that scored even better than the WF ACA one I initially posted. The only concern that I have is that the diamond looks cloudy in the 360/superzoom image, and the GIA certificate notes clarity as cloudy. I know HCA score doesnt mean everything, so I requested idealscope images. However, in the meantime, I wanted your more experienced opinions/thoughts on these diamonds. Are they really cloudy or is it an image quality issue? Are these diamonds better cut and a better value than the ACA one?

You do not need HCA with ACA stones, they are super ideal stones, cut especially with guaranteed great light performance.

The HCA tool does not take rounding into consideration and a random virtual selection stone under hca 2 will mostly not have the cut as good an ACA stone.

A lower score is not 'better'. Anything under 2 in HCA is equally good, it is a rejection tool, not selection. Everything above 2 has some degree of theoretical light leakage, and everything under 2, if cut perfectly, will not leak.

A lot of people prefer the appearance of stones scoring 1 to 2 than those below 1 so please don't strive to find the lowest HCA possible!
