hmm.. looks like the camera is focusing on the rim of the IS, the camera lens is still too far from the scope I think, should be lying on the scope.

Yeah, with my new camera, there is a way to adjust for that, but I''m one of those people who never read the manuals of their electronics. My DH keeps bugging me to do so!

I had a hearts and arrows viewer as a free gift from Whiteflash when I bought my ACA diamond. Not sure if thats the same as an Ideal Scope. I had to return it when I upgraded to an Expert Selection stone though.

You need to put the camera lens right onto the ideal-scope MC.
Just like you would when looking thru the scope.
