Real quick, puffy, congrats on a bro for B!!!

congrats puffy, and yay for a lil bro!!

ps my batting average for guessing baby genders remains unbroken..0% right so far!

janine LOL!!! thanks!!

qt WOW, that''s going to be a ton of people at the house!! but i''m sure you guys will have a ton of fun. i can''t believe M is turning 1 already! hope you are doing well.

jas12 thanks so much! so glad that Co is feeling better. have fun in NYC and reward yourself for nursing this long!!

thanks everyone!

honestly at first when she told us the baby was 100% ALL BOY, i was kinda like, oh ok. but the look on DH and B''s face was just priceless, it seriously melted my heart. B''s been asking all day what he can do and can''t do with his little brother. it''s really cute actually. and another thing that came out of the ultrasound, B learned a whole lot! when he touches my belly and says, "hello little brother," he will ask me is that his right or left foot, or his arm. can i touch his kidney? what about his heartbeat? haha!! he cracks me up. and he really wants to see his little brother again. he is super excited now that i tell him that he can play with his little brother when he is a bit older. so i''m hoping that B is over thinking that a puppy is in mommy''s belly. haha.

puffy, big congrats on a little brother for B!!!

puffy-congrats on a healthy baby boy!! I do think it''s fun for them to have a same sex sibling and since you''re open to having a 3rd then hopefully you''ll get your girl.

jas12-I''m glad Cohen is feeling better and yay for the freedom that no longer nursing brings! although I know how bitter sweet it is. Jake was by far the hardest for me to wean b/c I knew he was my last baby. I hope you have a great time on your trip too!!

so, Jake has discovered that he can scream! it drives me nuts. instead of "signing" or using one of his very few words he''ll just scream to get our attention or scream and point or just scream
32.gif
hubby even said we hope he starts talking soon b/c this screaming stuff as got to stop. I usually correct him and ask him to say please or give him the word but boy oh boy. he''s doing great otherwise and has added the word "fish" to his vocabulary. he''ll say it when he wants a goldfish cracker or when he see''s a real fish. it''s pretty cute. I''ve also been trying to get him to sign thank you but he mixes it up with blowing kisses so now when I tell him to say thank you to someone he''ll just blow them a kiss

Just a quick pop-in-

I think I've read some of you like those Giddy Giddy clips- just saw on theminisocial website they are on sale for $5 instead of $8. You have to "join" but it doesn't cost anything.

Anyways, just a heads up in case some of you wanted some more.

ETA: Congrats Puffy on another boy!

Thanks China!

I did check it out, but shipping is 10 bucks. Depending on how many you order, it might be cheaper elsewhere with free shipping, plus items are limited.

Giddygiddy runs a sale later in the year for $5 as well.

bobo thanks!! how is little B?

mrsS i am definitely open to having a 3rd child, but that all depends on how things go with 2. haha. jake sounds adorable!! i''m sure it''s no fun for you guys with the screaming, but i can just imagine him doing it. so cute.

Puffy--
How cute is that?
I guess seeing the u/s makes him see that there is a little person inside ^.^
So is he asking to name his little brother now? :D

QT--
Wow, that''s going to be some other.
It is even bigger than my wedding!
Hope M enjoys it on Saturday...and don''t forget to take lots of pictures.

Jas12--
That''s great that Co is recovering.
Hope he continues doing so so that you can really enjoy your vacay.
And yay on your last BF.
I know what you mean about it bittersweet.
I was so ready to get my body and freedom back, yet was not really ready to lose that closeness that comes w/ BF.
Those were one of the few times that she''ll cuddle w/ me
8.gif

MrsS--
How stinking cute is that.
I take the blowing kisses over thank you''s any day.
Haha, I know that screaming stage well. Fortunately J has an outlet for that w/ a song that they sang at daycare.
It goes:
row row row your boat
gently down the stream
when you see an alligator (or crocodile)
don''t forget to scream :D

So cute Jake say fish for his goldfish crackers.
J rarely say fish, she''ll do the fishy lips (like she''s kissing) instead

Real quick, trying to pack while T is asleep. I am the queen of over-packing and am trying to be careful but I feel like there''s just so much we need!

Puffy~Congrats on a baby brother for B! I bet he is so excited. That sticker chart won''t fill fast enough now!

jas12~Glad Co''s feeling better! Have a great time on your trip!

Happy 1st birthday Meena!!!

Jas, yay for being done weening! And have a great trip. RE: foot - I think Amelia''s is still wonked. If you want, I''ll take a photo and post it if you want to compare. She is still not walking voluntarily yet. She prefers crawling. It''s just a relief to me that she can, is all. My mom still thinks something is wonky with the foot too.

MrsS, the screaming thing made me laugh. I am sure it is not funny to you, but it''s a funny visual. Baby phases, gotta love em.

Well, as far as the baby bug goes, I think there must be something in the water. I was sitting there, hanging out with the kid yesterday and I thought...hm. Maybe I should attempt to have another one while you are sweet and good and fool me into thinking this is manageable. I mean, what happens if she hits terrible two''s and I decide to rip my uterus out with hooked metal chopsticks?

If I was guaranteed another one like her (even with all the eating issues), I''d have another in a heartbeat.

TGal- Wow, that''s expensive shipping for a hair clip!

TACORI- and anyone else who has an opinion re: NURSING TANKS: I remember some of you liking the Target ones. Was it a Target brand or just a cheap brand that Target sells? Feel like I need to buy a couple, but don''t want to spend a ton of money. I am pretty small-chested now, and haven''t gotten any bigger in pregnancy. I know that can change when the milk comes in, but am not expecting to be huge- I know that some of the more fortunately endowed ladies didn''t like the Target tanks for this reason. Also, what about nightgowns? Did you guys buy nursing ones, or just wear whatever?

Anyway, any suggestions are welcome! I am due in about 1.5 weeks, but just want to order some before the exhaustion/fog sets in. Thanks in advance!

Happy 1st birthday Meena!!!!

ChinaCat, a lot of us have these Gilligan & O''Malley Nursing Tanks from Target. I love them. I have 4 and I''ve worn it almost every day since my son was born. Some of the ladies said that these tanks don''t provide much support but I think for small chested women, they are great.

Thanks Snlee, those are the ones I was looking at, just wanted to make sure they were the right ones!

Hehe, I got 5 (one in each color - black, white, grey, pink, and baby blue).
I pretty much lived in those until I weened.

lili haha, it''s pretty funny when he touches the baby now. all he wants to know is what pat of the baby he is touching. he did ask why the baby''s eyes are always closed. and i said the baby was sleeping, that''s all. so weird my kid is!! he is asking what should he call his baby brother. so DH and i just tell him for now we''ll just call him baby. he agreed to that, but then he quickly realized that he can''t be a baby anymore and insists on us calling him big boy. pretty strange but funny i guess.

burk thanks!! have a great time on your trip!! over packing is always better than under packing. i ALWAYS over pack. and it''s a good thing that you guys are driving so you can bring whatever it is that you guys will need. hope T does well on the car ride. hope you all have a wonderful vacation!

chinacat yup, those are the ones i used also. and gap maternity has some nicer ones if you need to dress up or something. but the target ones were great!!

B is still taking a nap. he went for his nap around 1215 and it is now 4. i''ve waled in a few times into his room already and he does look at me then back to sleep he went. guess he''s tired.

tgal-I vote to go for number 2...of course I''m not the one who would have to be preggo and deliver again..hehe. and yeah, the screaming so not funny and hoping we can move out of this phase quickly.....

lili-that little song is cute.

chinacat-I love the target nursing tanks!

happy first b-day Meena!!

puffy- wow, what a nap for B. what do you do with all your free time

Thank you Ladies for the birthday wishes. Love you guys.

puffy
Yay for a little bro for B. I think #3 will be girl for you.

mrsS i am definitely enjoying the free time that i have now before #2 arrives. i did do tons of cleaning and going through some of B''s baby clothes. i totally forgot how cute baby clothes are and how tiny they are. i can''t believe that B used to fit into them.

tgal yes, you should definitely have another!! i mean look how adorable amelia is. and what a well behaved kid you have, i must say! you must be doing something right!!

qt i hope the party on saturday goes well and M has a great time. HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY TO MEENA!!!

puffy: it is so fun going through all the tiny baby things. I did that with my girls clothes so I could give them to my sister. I washed up everything and it all smelled like the baby detergent and the little dresses were sooooo tiny. it is hard remembering how little your big kids were once. my sister is TTC baby number 2 so I''m keeping all of Jake''s stuff in the event they get a boy this time around.

so, I''ve got another batch of family coming to town this weekend. I can''t wait b/c it''s my dad, step-mom and little brother (who is 19). But, things just seem to be busy and scheduled all the time. I''m actually looking forward to a night that we have nothing to do or no place to go. School begins here in 10 days which is sooooo early. I''m excited for the routine to be back but sad that summer has flown by so quickly and my girls will be gone for 7 hours a day
7.gif
. I just wish we had another couple of weeks.

i hope everyone has a great weekend....bye bye July...hello August!

Puffy--
Too funny...and he is a big boy.
Love the new picture of him by the way...so grown up and still adorable.

MrsS--
It is quite funny sometimes when we sang it.
She''s so impatient that she''ll start to scream as soon as she hears alligator.

Went to M''s 12 months well visit today. She lost a few oz since her 9 months visit, so we''ll have to take her in for weight check next month. She got the finger prick for the lead and iron tests, and the three shots (hep A, MMR and varicella). She got a really low fever, but otherwise normal (not fussy or cranky). Pedi told us to try soy milk. If she reacts to soy milk, then we can try rice milk or just do calcium supplements. He said to give her more meats to compensate for the lack of fat in the soy milk.

Here''s her stats:
Height - 30.5in
Weight - 20lbs 8oz
Head circumference - 17.75in

Hope everyone have a good weekend with their LOs.

qtiekiki: sounds like M is doing great, I hope she gains weight again soon. How did she take the MMR? I''m scared for it, C does awful with shots. Was the blood test a finger prick? You''re lucky, C had to do the whole rubber around arm to take blood. I''m a little annnoyed they didnt'' offer finger prick, would have made a big difference for us.

tgal: it''s so obvious you''re going to have #2, these weak protestations are easy to read through ;). I''m giving myself another year to decide, but so far I''m happy with one. I just keep thinking how much more work it''ll be with 2 and trying to pull it all off. For me personally, I think one is enough, but when I think about Chloe..(and not having a sibling), it does make me think twice. We''ll see. I think you and snlee are the next to get knocked up (hehe).

Sorry I have been MIA my mommy friends. Just dealing with life and all its expected turns and twists. I just wanted to tell you all how wonderful T was as a flower girl! I will have to wait until someone sends me some pics and then I will post them but she did so well. She walked down the aisle (holding her daddy''s hand) and even carried her little flower basket. She just stood by her dad in the front row watching everything. My sister''s friend and her husband are opera singers so while they sang a song T danced and clapped (so cute). About half way through she decided she had enough so she just walked off. Luckily they were on the end so it was no big deal and my sister didn''t even notice (not that she would have cared). I thought she would be overwhelmed by all the new people fawning over her and I am sure she was but she was a good girl. I cannot wait to see the pro pics. My dress was so big on me (yay for stress weight loss) but everyone said they did not notice. I am SO happy for my sister and new BIL. They are so in love and I know they are a good match.

Puffy, yay for another boy. I hear ya on it being cheaper b/c you already have boy stuff.

Q, Happy first birthday to beautiful M! Can''t believe she is a year old already!

I am too far behind but know I am thinking about all of you and your wonderful babies!

Janine
The blood test was a finger prick. We were given the options of getting M''s blood drawn at the lab which would be from the arm through a vein or the finger prick at the office. The blood drawing at the lab would be covered by insurance and free; the finger prick was $30. We chose finger prick b/c we thought it was be less traumatic and the nurse is more experienced with babies.
I was worried that M might react to the MMR b/c she has sensitivity to egg. But she didn''t. Even though she cried more with these shots, she didn''t get as bad a fever as with previous shots and really wasn''t more fussy.

Thanks Tacori for the birthday wish.
Can''t wait to see pics of you and Tessa at the wedding. Yay for Tessa doing great as a flower girl and your weight loss.

We went cold turkey weaning this morning. It was really hard b/c M was crying. She wouldn''t drink the soy milk. MIL tried giving it with cheerios. She took a few bites then refused. She just wanted to drink her water. I need to get her some food that high in calcium. This is so stressful. I feel so bad this morning that I cried. I didn''t expect it to be so emotional.

Ha, no, not yet. With all my preggo friends, I need to stay non pregnant to take care of them. I''ve been going over all the time to my friend''s house (the one preggo with triplets) and will probably be driving her to early appointments in Santa Monica since she needs to see a specialist.

TGuy has joked about seeing if we can do another one shot wonder in September (when we are in Oz) and I''m contemplating that, but then putting it off again until after Amelia''s second birthday. The thing is I''m still perfectly happy in theory to just have one.

QT, sorry to hear weaning is tough.
