mrss~Thanks so much!! My body has totally remembered what it''s like to be preggo and has made me look it too!
21.gif
This is just such a hard stage...you know where strangers probably think I just haven''t lost all the baby weight from Tayva!

lili~Thanks! I''ve seen pics of you and there''s no way I''m bigger than you!! So glad you finally got that dentist appt made.....then you can get working on number two!

puffy~Thanks. You look great! Just a little cute belly! Glad B is back to his old self. So weird the stages they go through. T is back to her old self telling us when it''s time to go to bed (which has been before 7 lately because she''s so tired out from daycare-which she LOVES). I''m super busy with school and volleyball but really enjoying my part time schedule and being back in volleyball season.

Bobo~Well, I guess if he has all those specialist at least you know he''ll be getting some help. Just so heartbreaking as a parent. When will they test again to check his thyroid numbers?

DD~Thanks! We''re very excited.

QT~Thanks! It still is def. a little bump but it''s that awkward stage ya know? You''re so tiny and cute!

Tayva is doing great. She looks forward to school (what she calls her daycare) every day and her teacher wrote a long note on Friday talking about how much she loves having T in her room. I almost cried. Must be the preggo hormones, right?

qt and puffy, you gals look great too. seeing all of you preggo really does make me kinda miss it
41.gif

bobo-at least the good news is you might get some answers for little b.

burk-that is so great Tayva loves "school." I always am so much more relaxed when I''m away from my kids when I know they are having fun and enjoying the place they are at. I''m glad you''re enjoying being back at school too. Has your m/s pretty much disappeared now?

not much news here. Jake''s new favorite toy...a ball. he LOVES them, any kind, big or small and just runs after them saying ball and then picks it up and throws it to whomever is closest. this morning I was using the detangling spray and brushing my girls hair and Jake wanted me to spray his hear and brush it too. it was cute and funny b/c my boy still doesn''t have much hair at all.

Hi mommy friends. I realize it''s been about a month since i last posted. Whoa. I am still mostly reading but haven''t had much interesting to report.

Happy to say now that Cohey is finally starting to walk!. He''s still going back and forth b/w a crawl and a walk, but he''s now excited to walk (whereas 2 weeks ago he was downright refusing and saying "nooooo" when we tried to persuade him).
He has been fully weaned for 2 weeks now. Yay!!! It wasn''t so bad on either of us since it was so gradual. I did give in when we came back from our NYC trip. He was so utterly beside himself to see me/us and so clingy that i resumed with the one feeding schedule for another week or so. I was surprised i didn''t dry up in NYC.
In personal news, DH and i are working our A**es off building our new house. I used to say extensive travel and kids were a really good test of a relationship--now i add building a house to the top of that list
3.gif
My god does it require patience and stamina --esp when you go it alone for the first time. I am trying hard to stay in budget, keep to my style, research options, keep this house in order (i.e. bare minimum house work), pack up this house, get ready for the new school year (i am at a new school) and somehow spend time with my monkey. We also started TTC this month---we didn''t really ''try'' this month, but we are not being really careful. We''ll officially start trying next month.

but enuf about me!

puffy, burk, qtie--you girls look SO SO good! Time is flying, how did you all get to be so far along. Feels like last week you posted and said you were expecting.

MrsS. --co is loving balls now too--fun eh. Glad your daughter is lovin school and you a bit more down time now. Oh and about potty training. I am kinda sucking in that dept. we were doing so well but this summer has been craziness and i found myself just slipping a diaper on him instead of working on pee-control. We are back at it with full force in sept. when a routine is better est.

Tgal--so amelia is walking everywhere now eh? You go away soon right? Are you getting excited, nervous to leave A? Maybe you''ll conceive a little ''Sydney'' while you are there -teehehe

Burk--glad T likes her new room at ''school''--must be a relief and make you feel proud.

Bobo--how is little B doing? Any more test results back? How'' the eating?

Snlee--are you all settled in your new digs yet? Bet there is always something to do ?

janine--yay, for a successful trip away. I found it really hard to do 4 days in NYC . 2 days would have been perfect to recharge, but after that i just felt guilty and wanted to see my guy. It was not necessary cuz the grannies had it under control, so it''s nice to know our kids are just fine without us after all!!

Lili--J is tiny eh? She looks so mature with her long hair and strutting around, but she is a flea. Co is around 26 lbs and is killing my back --he''s gotta walk full-time b/c i am injuring myself. Are you TTC now?

Tacori--are you on holiday? Haven''t seen you around much

Thanks puffy, love your belly pix, cute bump.

QT, you are so tiny~

Thanks lili, I don''t know why the pedi want us to wait to retest. He didn''t tell us
what we should do in the meantime so i guess we just wait. We try to give him tofu but he''ll
just feed the floor, haven''t try edamame yet.

Thanks Burk, the pedi said to retest in a few weeks but I couldn''t get another appt.
with him until 9/8 so I guess we have to wait until then.

Thanks MrsS. The mental image of Jake asking you to spray his hair and brush it really
cracks me up...

Jas12, little B is doing alright, we should get the remaining test results back this week.
Eating is still the same, no more than 5 bites...
Yay on Co walking!!
36.gif
36.gif
The house looks great already, good luck on TTC!

little B is going thru a whiny and everything "no" stage. The moment he open his eyes he started to whine and then comes the "no, no, no" It''s really driving us nuts not knowing what he is whiny about...

little B will get his 18 months check up at almost 19 months since we can''t get a appt. He''ll also get his chicken pox vaccine then.

Burk--
Believe me, I still have my 20wk pooch.
That's great that T is doing so well at school.
I'm sure she's the pet of the class
2.gif

Who wouldn't swoon over those gorgeous blue eyes and blond curls and a sassy personality to boot?

MrsS--
How funny and cute about Jake's new ball obsession?
I wonder if that's a boy thing since both Co and Puffy's B is going/went through it.
So does he bring one to bed w/ him too?
Haha, so cute about him wanting to have his few strands of hair detangled.
It's funny, but it seems like those you want to tie up their hair would fight you tooth and nail while those w/ little (or short hair) want to have their hair tied.
The little boys in J's class love having their single palm-tree pony done by the teachers.
And the little girls would need to be chased down just to their hair brushed away from their eyes.

Jas12--
Yay for Co walking...and he does look like he's already running in that video.
Yay for weaning. Yeah, I was surprised that there was still milk when I expressed after 2 months of weaning.
Yay for TTC next month. If everything works out well w/ my dental appt, I think Sept is the month for us too.
Hehe, it would be something if we (TGal, you and me) go through it at the same time again.
We may have to twist MrsS's arms a little to get her on board for #4
9.gif

Bobo--
Try the edamame w/ the shell.
I think they get a kick out of eating it when they can pop the soybean out of the pods.
Haha, I hear you on the whining stage.
I actually had a clip of J throwing one of her tantrum.

--------------
In J news, she's got her first cold in a long while.
I thought having an infant w/ cold is bad, having a toddler w/ a cold is PITA.
She was surprised to say the least when she discover something gooey coming out of her nose when she sneezed.
She'd touched it and couldn't grab it fast enough to remove it from her face
and then smudging it everywhere on the furniture

jas, I loved the video of co walking. I bet he starts walking full time in just a few days. your house is looking so great too. hubby and I are discussing the possibility of building next year. my BIL is an architect so that will be a huge help. but, we''ll have to hire builders b/c my hubby doesn''t enjoy carpentry. he tried renovated our first house. it was okay but something he decided he never wanted to do again. after moving 2x in one year I''d love to find our permanent place where my kids will build their childhood memories. i think that''s funny you said the 4 days away seemed long. our 9 year anniversary is coming up and hubby wants us to go away. I just am not ready to leave Jake for more than a couple of days. My mom comes and stays with the kids but having to keep track of 3 of them is much harder than when she only watched just one or even the 2 girls. So I really wouldn''t want to leave them all with her for more than 2 days. But, I soooooo need a recharge!

bobo-ah, the no stage....seems like all kids go through it at some point and it''s a sense of control that they like. I hope it won''t last too long for you.

lili-sorry about J''s cold. Jake has a runny nose too. I''m not sure if it''s a cold or if it''s teething but he goes to the box of tissues and will wipe it himself b/c it really bothers him. I hope so recovers quickly! funny about #4. i was just at my ob this morning for my annual and he asked me about it. gave me the go ahead if we want another and although I do sometimes see those tiny newborns and think...awwww I really do feel like I''m done. plus, I''m just too tired and I get 8 hours straight of sleep a night now...still feel tired though.

I think M like the take and toss cup b/c it’s more like the cups we get our drinks in.
We already have to follow her around the house. She just walks back and forth from our room to her room upstair or from the dinning room to living room downstair. So tiring but fun.

I don’t believe that you have a bigger belly than us.

Hope your dentist appt goes well, so you can start TTCing.

Don’t know if balls are boy things, but M loves balls too. Maybe she’s a tomboy.

Sorry that J has the cold. So funny that she went and smudged her snot all over the place.

MrsS
How cute that Jake likes the hot salsa and loves playing balls. M loves balls too. That’s one of the first words she said. Lately she’s been picking up her cousin’s basketball and throwing/dropping it. When it rolls away, she goes after it. She’ll kick the smaller balls.

You can always join us. LOL.

Burk
Maybe Tayva will ask about your belly once it gets big. We just told our 5 yrs old nephew that I have another baby in my belly, and then he said “Again? How come you have another baby? I want a baby brother and a baby sister. I am going to name my baby sister Meena.” It was so funny.

I know the awkward stage. I feel like I am still in that stage b/c my belly isn’t sticking out that much under clothes, so I don’t know if people think I am fat or what. Like last Sat, we went to get frozen yogurt and this one lady kept staring at me.

How cute that Tayva loves school. I bet they love her there too.

Puffy
Haha. She would love to be getting into everything that she isn’t supposed to. If the stroller is close enough to something, she will try to touch or kick it. And she does cry to get out of the stroller when we are waiting in line.

I am feeling ok. Still very tired/sleepy, but it’s probably due to lack of sleep more than the pregnancy. The u/s is not scheduled yet. I am surprised that I haven’t received the letter from my HMO yet b/c last time I got it really early around 14 weeks. My Ob says to remind him to schedule it next appt, so maybe they’ll make the appt for me this time instead of me doing it. I am bummed that it’ll be at least another two weeks.

Glad Brady is back to his old self. My mom said I was super clingy when she was pregnant with my sister. I wouldn’t let anyone else carry me beside her.

It’s great that you are still working out regularly.

Bobo
I think you are doing great offering little B different food. Hope he finds something he likes. In the line of soy products, had you try the tofu pudding? M loves those, probably b/c it’s sweet, but I just put very little of the ginger syrup to sweeten. There’s a place by our house that makes them fresh.

Sorry little B is whiny. It’s probably just a phase. I remember when our nephew did that. No to everything for no appearance reasons.

Jas12
Yay for Co walking again. He looks like he’s been doing it for a while.

Your house is coming along nicely. It must be a lot of work for you guys. I remember when we remodeled our room, we were just going back and forth. So I can imagine what it’s like with the whole house.

Good luck with TTCing.

Hi Everyone! Thanks for asking how we are Burk, Mrs Salvo and Lili! Tyler is doing great. He is sitting up, rolling all over, eating 3 solid meals a day. His reflux seems way better and if he had allergies they seem to have resolved. No more blood in poop, no more weird poops so yay. Sorry for tmi. lol.
Tyler is at his new babysitters today. the second time but the first time I left him for 4 hours- tomorrow is a 10 hour day. It is a family friend that is watching him so that feels pretty good. I had to tell my in home nanny I was letting her go and ;that was hard. but really the other woman is like half the price and since we know her I feel safe. anyhoo.

Hope you guys are all doing great! Congrats on all the newly pregnant moms. You guys are so lucky to all be going through it together! that must be fun. I think I want to wait another year before I try so t would be almost three- Puffy how old will b be when the new baby comes?

I have to go pick up tyler but I will try to catch up later if I can. things have been so busy for me bc we are putting our place on the market and ive been going back to work. I think i already said this before so sorry if I am repeating myself.

see ya soon!

jas12 YAY for Co walking!!!

bobo hope little B''s new phase goes quickly cause we all know how bad it can get. please keep us posted on little B and his tests.

lili sorry to hear that J is sick again. poor girl. but it sounds like she''s trying to find the fun in it. haha, just kidding.

pave B will have just turned 2 when this little guy is arriving. i think that 2 years is a good age, but i could have held off for another few months as well just to be with B a little more before i send him off to preschool. how is tyler doing?

lili, I need to go catch up J''s video in FB. I have a feeling little B will love
the popping part of the edamame but not eating it...Sorry to hear J got a cold, hope she
feel better soon.

Thanks MrsS, he actually says "no" in chinese so it''s very cute and annoying at
the same time...

Thanks QT, little B refused to eat the tofu pudding, I ordered once at the dim sum
place and he just refused to eat it. But surprisingly he ate and love the chicken foot.

Hi Pave, Glad to hear Tyler''s reflux is getting better!

Thanks puffy!

I got all the test result back in the mail last night and everything looks normal except his thyroid # and his carbon monoxide #. I called the pedi office today but he was not in and the assistant said he''ll call me back tomorrow.

Hello! Could I pop in and ask the experienced moms for some help? I also posted this on the newborn thread.

I need some help on sleep issues. My son A is just over 5 months old. He had been getting up 1-2 times per night pretty consistently for the last few months. Once in a while he''d even sleep through the night. The last week or so, it''s 3 times. I am EXHAUSTED. He seems to be waking up suddenly and is very upset. He wants to eat each time and I''ve not been able to calm him without the boob, but I also have not tried for too long. So what do you think - is he needing more food and waking up hungry? If so, maybe this will get better when we start solids and maybe we should start them a little earlier than planned. Or, do you think he''s using the boob for soothing and I should resist feeding him 3x a night because he might regress further? Another possibility is teething. I don''t feel any teeth yet, but he''s drooling a lot and nursing seems kind of painful these last few days when it had not been previously.

In the light of day, I know he should not be eating 3x a night... but when he is screaming and I am exhausted, it''s so hard to not just give him the boob so we can both get back to sleep...

tandogmom, My ped. said that a baby should be able to sleep through the night at 6 months. If he's not yet six months I would probably just nurse him back to sleep as quickly as you can. Jake wasn't sleeping through the night at 6 months and still nursing. babies that nurse do digest milk faster and get hungry more quickly. my ped. supports crying it out though and at Jake's 6 month visit said I could let him cry up to an hour. But, i had to be consistent. I knew that I did not have the will power to let him cry that long so we continued on the night feedings for some time. around the time he was 9 months I was sooooo tired and my hubby was away working and I decided It was time. I let Jake cry for 45 minutes and it broke my heart. I decided I'd let him go 5 more minutes and before that 5 minutes was up he was asleep. the next night he woke up again and was crying but gave up after about 30 minutes. the next night it was even less and in just a few days he was sleeping through the night or at least able to put himself back to sleep if he woke up. By 9 months he was eating a lot of food too so I knew he was probably not waking up hungry or thirsty.

hopefully tgal will chime in b/c she had great success getting Ameila to sleep through the night very early!

here's a thread too where some of the mom's chimed in and you might find it helpful.

Here's my attempt to catch up..sorry if I miss anyone!

Puffy: you are not big at all! 21 weeks already, oh my! Glad to hear B is settling in with the pregnancy.

QT: cute belly--when's the big reveal? I probably missed it, but how'd the ladybug party go?

Burk: you look awesome!! At first I didn't read the message and just looked at the pics and thought it was all this year! Hope T is doing well with the new daycare set up.

Tgal: Yay for full on walking---seems like she is speeding ahead!

Mrs Salvo: funny about the ball obsession--well at least it's an easy thing to provide!

Lili: hope J is feeling better

Jas: that's great that cohen is walking....alotta walkers lately! can't believe you're TTC ing soon! eek!

Bobo: i'm sorry you're still having feeding issues--what did the dr. say about the results for thyroid and carbon monoxide? On a lighter note, I laughed about little B enjoying the chicken foot!

MrsS, ha..ha..ha....I should proof read my post before posting. It''s carbon dioxide levels,
my pedi should call me back today regarding that.

TanDogMom, sorry to hear about the sleeping issue. Sounds like teething to me, my pedi
always said to me "just because you can''t feel the teeth doesn''t mean the teeth is not growing.
Teething can be painful for the babies even when the teeth haven''t pop yet" Hope you both get
some sleep soon.

Thanks Janinegirly, pedi want to retest both thyroid and carbon dioxide the next time
we see him. He just talked about the thyroid # last time we spoke and he mention if the # is
off after the next test then little B will be refer to a hormone specialist.

MrsSalvo Thank you, that helps a bunch. In theory I am OK with CIO but in practice, I just cannot do it (at least not yet). Maybe when he is a little older. I like the approach that you took. I appreciate the link too. I had forgotten about that thread!

Bobo I think you are right- teething may be the culprit!! Thank you for your reply.

Hi TandogMom I have been going through sleep training with T in the past couple of weeks. T is 8 months old and we started about 2 or 3 weeks ago. We decided to do a sort of modified cry it out. T slept in a swing his whole life so far and so we had to get him to get used to the crib and also get him to learn how to soothe himself. T would fall alseep easily but he would awaken easily 3-4 times even before midnight! And then several times from midnight to seven am. It was hell and I was exhausted. So anyhoo we started putting him down asleep and when he woke up, leaving him for about 10-12 min to see if he would fall asleep and most of the time, he did fall asleep on his own. The second week or so I started having trouble listening to him cry especially if my dh wasnt home from work yet so I caved a few times and bf him back to sleep. Now we are back on track and most times he falls back asleep on his own in 7-10 minutes. In between the beginning and now, my dh would keep the monitor and I would go to bed with the ac on so I couldnt hear t cry. I didn''t ask too many questions about how long he cried but I found out the other day he was crying more like 20 minutes plus sometimes. I still feed him in the middle of the night if he wakes up at 3 am or after. Im not sure how I decided that but partly because its about 7 hours after he went to sleep and partly because for the other wake ups he does fall asleep quickly on his own so I don''t think he is really hungry.
We are feeding him 2-3 meals a day, b and d with oatmeal and a fruit or veggie and then lunch a fruit.
T is doing much better than I expected but it is hard to listen to him cry. I tried it for naps today too and he was falling asleep in less than 10 minutes.
I hope our info was helpful. Good luck. wait until you are ready(or desperate like I was). Oh and i was afraid that I am scarring my guy somehow but I Havent noticed any change in his behavior and he is way more willing to go in the crib than he was before even though he does get left in there alone sometimes to work it through.

Bobo did you get to talk to the dr? Did he explain the results? What is next? I hope you get some answers soon.

Lili yuck on the toddler cold! that doesnt sound fun. I think we have been pretty lucky re colds so far. I hope it stays that way. Is J better yet?

Puffy I thought B was older- maybe cause he is such a smartie. Tyler is doing really great. we are lucky. I think he''s outgrown his allergies and his reflux seems better. He has some cardiac studies later this year. He is going to a new babysitters and it''s going well so far! I had a new job as of last week but lost it today(yucky hiring freeze cause there was a change in the drs. so they needed less staff) but now have an interview at a different site same medical group- so hopefully it will work out.

I hope everyone else is well! Seems like everyone is so busy these days.

pave, that is wonderful news that tyler is outgrowing his allergies!!

bobo-did you ever hear back from your doctor? carbon dioxide testing makes a little more sense..

tgal-I think you are away but if you get a second how did Amelia''s appt. go last friday?

I finally got a round to unpacking and setting up Jake''s basketball hoop. He LOVES it. He runs after his ball and then runs to the hoop an puts the ball in. it''s so cute. he added another word to his vocab....flower....it''s more like fleur.....but it''s close enough for us to understand

I''m finally able to officially join y''all here. I''m so happy to be back with my ol'' buds. (Not that I don''t adore everyone on the 0-12 month thread, there was just such a huge age GAP between my boys and the little adorable bundles there).

So, yeah, they''re one. I suppose at some point my c/s scar should stop resembling a cable.

Yeah, I can do spice.

Today''s mystery: Why does Jackson have Vick''s Vapo Breath?

Sunday is the birthday party. My inlaws will be there, so I''m sure I will start drinking at 10 am and keep on going.

I''m so sorry about your son. Sick is no fun. Good he''s drinking though.

I should be searching for light fixtures and toilet bowls for the house, but PS is much more fun. ...
Question: when your kiddo started walking did s/he just take off and never look back, or did they take steps here and there and work their way up to walking full-time after a few weeks? I can''t get Co to walk ''full time'', although he''s able. He''s old enough to choose what he wants now and so he still prefers crawling and is being so stubborn. He would not walk at all today! It''s almost like he''s thinking " okay, i can do that walking this--it sucks, i am going back to crawling" My back is sooo sore --i am dying for him to be mobile.

pave sorry to hear about the job, but hopefully your interview at the other job went well. and great news about tyler and no more allergies!!

mrsS hope jake feels better soon!! poor little guy.

jas the boys are 1 already?!!? hope the party goes well on sunday and i am sure you will be back with great IL stories for us.

jas12 when B started to walk he just took off and never did the crawl thing anymore. but then again, he walked before he crawled. i''m sure Co will start to walk when he feels ready to. i''m sure he can do it, but he still might prefer crawling cause he''s such a master at crawling.

hope all the other mommies and kids are doing well!!!

good news that Jake''s fever is gone

he''s still not 100% but at least he seems to be doing better and eating again!

Jas12- Jake would go back and forth from walking/crawling for a long time. seriously, it seems like it was at least a couple of months until he really stayed on his feet full time.

Glad Jake''s fever is gone.

We took Meena in for weight check today, and she 20lbs 9.5oz, which is 1.5oz more than last visit. Pedi says it''s not great but not bad. I am actually not too worried b/c she is eating and happy. I think she is just not gaining weight b/c she is more active (walking all over the house). We''ll go back next month for the flu shots, and they''ll check her weight again. So we''ll see.

Hi gals...

Sorry I have been MIA. Have been in Madison, WI all week. SOOO happy to be home. Also wanted to say happy birthday to the twins, and it's nice to have you here Jackie!

Jas12, quick answer to your question - Amelia hit the ground running when she took her first steps. Wasn't interested in crawling at all, and still doesn't unless it she is crawling over my body when I am hanging out on the floor.

hey all....

i hope everyone is doing well. my hubby left yesterday to take our son back to college. I can''t believe how quickly the summer passed. hubby and I will be celebrating our 9 years anniversary in less than 2 weeks. we decided to take a short overnight trip next week back to my home town b/c there is a big fireworks show on the river and a bunch of my friends from HS are going to be there so it will be a small reunion of sorts. not exactly a dream romantic place to go but will still be a nice get away and my parents are keeping the kids and it will be the first time I''ve left Jake overnight since he was born. I''m looking forward to sleeping in since Jakey wakes up every day at around 6;00am. each day Jake seems to add a new word to his vocab. he loves pressing the button to close our garage door and yesterday as we passed by it on the wall pointed and said "push" asking if he could push it. he also pointed to Ritz cheese bits at target today and said "cracker" so it seems the words are finally starting to come. I love this stage. it so fun when they really start repeating words and trying to communicate.

whats the latest with all the other moms? any milestones out there?

MrsS.--congrats on your 9 year anni! That''s great that you are going to do a mini getaway. One or two nights is perfect IMO ( i mentioned how 4 felt way too long, to me anyway, and wasn''t relaxing after the 2nd day) Hopefully you can sleep and recharge, spend time with friends and have a nice dinner out. You certainly deserve it !

I start back at work full time tomorrow and i am kinda dreading it

. I had such a fun summer with Co, and this is such an adorable stage that i don''t want to miss it at all. Co is starting to talk in lots of mini sentences (up please, on now, no more, i love you, light off etc. ) and so play time is lots of fun and i finally feel like we can do more activities during the day. Oh well, i can''t dwell, i have to work.
My MIL has him enrolled in a gymnastics program for the fall and swim lessons with me after work. Between those things, work, building the house and all the rest of the stuff life brings, i am thinking the weeks will fly by and hopefully i''ll be pregnant next month and then i''ll have another year off starting next spring

Hope everyone is well.

Hi everyone! I''ve never posted on this thread before but my DS is 33 months old (he''s be 3 in November). Anyway, now that I''m pregnant & we''ll need his nursery for the baby next year, we took him shopping for a "big boy bed" and matching furniture today (we figure it''s a good idea to get him set up in his new room several months before the baby arrives).

We asked him if he''s excited about sleeping in his new big boy bed, and he said, "No, I like my big boy CRIB."

I think this is going to be a harder transition than we thought ... the new furniture isn''t going to arrive for about a month, though, so we''ll have some time to try to get him used to the idea ...

All of his friends have been in beds for a while, but he just loves his crib, and it''s honestly nice to have him confined while he''s sleeping, so it''s been win/win until now. He actually starts preschool in a few weeks, so maybe if he finds out that all of his classmates are in big boy beds, he''ll be more excited about trying one out himself ...
