Hi all,

I am looking at this diamond now and considering getting it. May i get your professional opinions on this diamond:

https://www.bluenile.com/hk/diamond...AMONDS&track=viewDiamondDetails&action=newTab
Bluenile also confirmed that it is eye clean and not cloudy.

I like it because it is an ideal cut, but I have a few concerns:
1) 360 video doesn’t look too good to me. It looks a bit cloudy and messy in the arrows and I am afraid it would affect the brilliance and light performance .
2) Even though Bluenile says it is not cloudy, but it says “Additional clouds are not shown”. How much it would affect the brilliance level if it is an ideal cut?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,
The way this forum is administered, professionals in the diamond/jewelry trade are not allowed to give opinions on stones offered by other sellers.
I'm sure other consumers (well-versed ones called "Prosumers") will chime in soon.

Not a professional. :)

Hmm difficult one.

Additional clouds not shown is nothing to worry about as they are not grade making cloud.

It looks like the two things making this stone an SI1 are the twinning wisps and indented naturals. I think some people might say twinning wisps are the 'best' type of inclusion but I personally have become a bit suspicious of SI1 twinning wisps. They are a change in the way a crystal is structure so I personally would worry they would change the way light passes through the diamond.

I also am not a fan of indented naturals. That's just me. I don't know why, I just imagine gunk getting stuck in them. I don't know what indented naturals do to the structural integrity of the diamond either.

Basically what I'm saying is the plot of this stone puts me off. Others might be fine with it.
