Princess eternity band...prong or channel set?

I currently have a princess eternity band. It is prong set and I find myself not wearing it all the time because the prongs can get a bit uncomfortable and the stones always look filthy even if I clean it daily. However, I love the way it looks. My original wedding band was channel set rounds and I hated the way it looked with my radiant solitaire because the shapes didn't "go" (I'm a matchy-matchy kind of girl). I had my solitaire reset into a knife edge setting that I LOVE and is substantially thinner than my original setting so I am thinking that it will sit better with something like my original band. I am wondering if I should switch my eternity to a channel set for comfort and because I am more and more drawn to the Tiffany princess wedding set. So...if you were to get a princess eternity, would you pick prong, channel or another option that I am missing?

I don't like princess cut stones or channel-set bands BUT I love princess cut channel sets. Go figure, right. I think it's the best combination. So that's my pick!

I would definitely choose a princess channel-set eternity band. To me this style has smoother lines aesthetically and appear to be more comfortable to wear than a shared prong princess eternity band. I might even add light milgrain to the edges of the band depending upon the style of your engagement ring. Milgrain adds an antique-y, classic feel in my opinion.

ETA: shared "prong" princess eternity.

I'm a "prong" person normally, but in your description, I'd 'change teams' and go for the channel set
