#JOTW Post your Cartier jewels/rings/watches!

I’m all Cartier today! IMG_8522.jpeg
My new small Trinity ring with the pave white band

My small rose gold and classic white gold with 4 diamonds love bracelets IMG_8574.jpeg
Rose gold hamsa necklace

And finally my new Trinity small earrings and rose gold diamond studs (forgot what these are called).

I went into the store last week planning on buying a clash ring and earrings, but when I saw the Trinity collection in person, I was sold! I like mixing metals.

The small Trinity earrings look great and also very comfortable! Can you sleep in them?

And loving the small Trinity ring with pave band - looks like it’s a great standalone piece but can also be stacked!

I had sworn off name brand jewelry after buying a fair amount of pieces from the big names ( Tiffany, Cartier, Bvlgari, VCA) and eventually selling them to instead buy classic pieces from a trusted local jeweler. However, on a recent trip to NYC, I visited the Cartier mansion and came home with my first Trinity piece: the small ring. I also tried the standard size Trinity but decided I liked the small. I am
now thinking about the Trinity Centenary cushion necklace. The lure of Cartier is strong!

:kiss2:GORGEOUS and looks fabulous with your watch!!
What a combo!!!:kiss2:

Anyone got tickets for the Cartier exhibition at the V&A? I got the exhibition book for Mother’s Day and can’t wait to see the pieces in person!

How fun that will be! I'm in London later this month - I assume it's sold out, but I should check to confirm!

Haven’t worn my vintage Cartier Ellipse in emerald for a while.

I love the chunky 18k YG & emerald band paired with a 3/4 eternity band made up of 18-19 pointers. The widths are well matched!

I love Cartier comfort bands and shanks. PLUMP, rich, lush and cozy!

I must admit, I found the band to be too thick at first - my fingers just weren’t used to the plumpness of the shank.

But now that I’m used to it, the weight is very comfy!

I also wear my Love stack under extra long sleeves, just enjoying the moment when it flashes up for a brief moment after a random movement!

Wow! That looks stunning! I really envy you, because they don’t offer the large version in Europe!

In my dreams, this 10.01ct D FL Cartier ring would be mine…
Until then, I shall cherish the 60 seconds it was on my finger at a recent Christie’s auction viewing :lol-2:

Also managed to try on a pave Crash and pave Crash Allongee. It’s the first time I’ve see an Allongee in Crash format and it’s an interesting (and much cheaper) alternative to the traditional Crash. Which flavour do you prefer?

Haha eagle eyes! The earrings were lovely, but - if there’s such a thing, I felt they were a tad too big!

These clusters were unbranded (ie not Harry Winston!), but all the stones came with GIA certs ranging D-F VVS1-VS1 and came to just over 27cts.

they look very HW. And heavy. I think I'd take one for the heavy team. Thank you for the ear shot!!!!!!!! They look gorgeous on you!

My second Cartier purchase was an upgrade of my wedding band and maybe I slightly panic bought with the price increase (only increased $100 when I last checked :???:).

I know I’m overpaying for the brand but the heart wants what the heart wants and this has been on my wishlist for at least two years. I do try to make some more “logical” purchases on other jewelry purchases with the great help of this forum!

Mini pave love ring in yellow gold:

I won’t wear it like this stack since this is my RHR, but I love that it’s an option.

And one pic of my very first baby Cartier piece that I wear daily. Faith is a huge part of my life and I can definitely see myself passing this down to my daughter one day in her late teens.

:wavey:Hi Sharon!
Thanks so much and yes.. so true. Love to buy something when we are away. It's always a nice reminder of the trip and if the dollar vs euro is favorable it saves a few cents too! :D
It actually is pretty comfortable and I like it even more that I thought I would. Every Cartier store before this only had large sizes so it was hard to imagine what the ring would look like if it actually fit.
I contacted the store in advance and asked them to have my size (48) in the store when we arrived and they did.
It's a strange ring because depending on where you put the nuts it's 2 different sizes. If they are all in front it's bigger than a 48 and if they are evenly spread around it's much smaller than a 48. It's a good ring for winter and summer depending on where you place the nuts! :D

Very cool ring @Rubies-R-Me !
Do you find that the nuts migrate around the ring throughout the day and you have to adjust them back?

Oh this is wonderful, congrats! Ecrou is so underrated. I adore my Ecrou bangles. My SA referred to the style as “luxury fidget” and it totally is. I love being able to play with the moving parts.

I’m fascinated by the sizing of it in ring form. You said it is much smaller with the bolts all around—how much smaller? A whole size? More? I need to try one on someday!

Oh thanks so much Tonks! I knew it was just your thang. I have always admired your bracelets and style.
I had them bring the ring in size 47 and 48 and the 48 almost didn't fit me unless I put all of the nuts toward the front. 49 would have been too big though I think.
I took pix of the ring on a sizing bar with the nuts all the way in front and the nuts going all the way around. It's almost 2 sizes bigger depending upon the position of the nuts. The sizing bar doesn't tell it's true size just the difference in sizes. :wavey:

Oh this is great—thank you! And thank you for the comment on style. I still don’t feel like I have much of a style—I just mash together things that I like, but I guess that is a style? Idk. Anyway.

I’m absolutely fascinated by this. Need to size my fingers and see if that would work to get one and wear on different fingers!

Which size did you end up taking and what is your typical ring size?

Cartier has some really fun sizing issues across the board. Trinity rings are tricky, bracelet sizes vary depending on the line….probably not entirely atypical but it makes it so hard to buy at a distance.

:DHi again @Tonks!
So glad the pix were helpful and yes.. I agree while most of Cartier's sizing is standard sometimes it's really wacky. Trinity rings as you said especially and I find they run very large.
My finger size is a 4.5 and I usually take a 47 or 48 in Cartier rings so that's why I didn't have them bring in any smaller or larger than that. It seemed to be difficult to get even 2 rings in so I didn't want to ask them for a 3rd.
The 47 wouldn't even go on my finger but the 48 was good.
49 might have been better but I didn't have it there to compare.:roll2:
