How would you spend $7k on diamond studs?

I've spent a bit of time looking and have some ideas, but I'm completely open to suggestions. Probably prefer cut > size > color > clarity

Wife's engagement ring is 2ct AGS I si2

What I've found is that I can get Ideal H&A at about 1.5ctw or Excellent J SI2's that are about 1.8ctw.

I'm bummed to see that pricescope's pair feature seems broken...

I'm talking to GOG, Whiteflash, JamesAllen and just found that blue nile has the best selection of 1.8ctw online.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

All good vendors I would just make sure you get the best cut stones I just went through this and after having two other pairs I spent the money on 3x cut. They are really sparkley. Any of the aforementioned vendors would be fine.

If it has a good HCA score (anything under 3) I'd ask BGD to call the owner of the stone and see if it is eyeclean. If it is... I'd get it in and ask BGD to get an idealscope, if it bases I'd ask them to find me a good match for it.

A lot of If's. But I personally would go for 1 carat K GIA Ex/Ex's at eyeclean SI2 with nice idealscope images.

If I couldn't find that. Definitely J's at 90 points.

Thanks Gypsy, what were you searching for that led you to this specific stone? (Would like to be self sufficient).

I just went to BGD and looked for largest stones for 3,500 K and up. There were three. And none of them had the angles just the table and depth. This one is a 60/60 but it also had the best spread. So... it needs more information. angles, hca, eyeclean then IS, then match, if possible.
