Please help with CAD - will my idea work well?

Hi everyone,

My project is finally on the way. However this is my first custom piece and I’m unsure if my vision will translate well to reality. Would love your suggestions and criticisms.

Firstly what I have to work with:

- a beautiful AGS LSi1 1.15 oec
- my wedding set in yellow gold with twisty design and pave
- will be mostly cast and hand assembled with some hand forging
- a draft CAD which will be modified to have pave along the topside of the scallops
(I asked the jeweller to modify the CAD to look like the Daniel K rosebud basket. Halo look from the top view)

The Rosebud was my inspiration pic - do I go with a basket like this?

- The shoulders will be two tone.
- the scallops will be platinum
- the shank will be yellow gold
- the claws will be finished finely

Questions:
1 What do you think about the shape of the scallops? Do you think they should be like the Daniel K or Leon Mege?

2 what colour metal would you use for each of the components?

3 do we flare out the existing scallops and set stones in them leaving the CAD much the same
