Please help to look at idealscopes!!

Dear All:

I got the ideal scopes back from JA. The consultant told me that they are identical except the size and he would recommend the 1.32 carat over the 1.51 because it is $3000 less. Do you agree with him?

They both look gorgeous! That is a big difference in size though. So in my opinion, you need to decide if a larger stone is worth the extra 3k.....For me, yes....but this is for you.

Both look good. I guess it just comes down to whether you want to spend the extra 3k or not. A WF rep once told me that 0.1mm is about the thickness of a standard piece of copy paper, so in your case it would be 4-5 sheets. If I had the money put aside for a diamond anyways, I'd probably go for the larger one, but it all depends on if you could use the 3k for something more worthwhile for you.

Both are good.

I prefer the patterning on the 1.3ct, it is more "classic" ideal facet patterning for an MRB. It will have the most balanced optics and slightly more contrast patterning with those fatter arrows and smaller table. So that's my pick. And, that's a hard size to find. Its about as close as you get to the 1.5 mark without going over. So its a good value buy!

I think holding them side by side you might notice the difference. When set, I doubt it.

What type of mount will you choose? If a halo or three stone, then no question the difference in size will not be noticeable.
