I have the micro pave legato setting from Whiteflash. I''m currently waiting for it to be returned to me from WF. You see, I''m upgrading my G SI1 - .831 to a F VS2 - .838. The cut on these are virtually the same. All that info isn''t really important for this post - just thought I''d share it.

Anyhooo, I spent some of the bonus I was saving up for a wedding band to do the upgrade. So, I''m deciding to get a plain platinum band to match my e-ring. I''m hoping to get some input from everyone about which band I should go for.

I''m considering one of the three rings below. Either a milgrain edge, a plain domed, or a step edge domed. I really like the last one of these three. Do you think it would look weird? These three are my budget, so please try to pick from these rather than steer me in a different direction.

Here''s my thoughts...my hubby likes the milgrain, but I''m not certain it would blend with my micro pave, although I do like the different textures. The plain domed is a given, it will match. HappyAnniversary matched hers up with a 2mm and it looks great. The last is the step edge domed. Dome in the middle and flat tiny sides. Again, this creates an interesting look, don''t you think?

With e-weddingbands.com, I could return anything, I just think it could be a hassle and extra expense to do this, so I''m trying to get it right the first time.

Oh, and all of these are 3mm. The micro pave legato setting is 2mm.

Any thoughts?

Here''s my ring before the stone change.

I would go with the step-edged domed. Because your e-ring is only 2mm, a smooth 3mm band could look too wide next to it. The step edge will make it look narrower, but still look substantial on its own.

I hadn't thought of it that way, but I do agree. Thanks for the input!

I think #3 is a fabulous choice! Beautiful e-ring, btw!!!!

I thought I''d get more comments against the step edge, I''m glad you think it would work!

I ordered the step down edge in 3mm/platinum! I''ll let you know how I like it when it comes in. Both it and my e-ring will be in my hands at some point next week!

I think you made a lovely choice. Looking forward to seeing the rings together.

Sorry about not posting pics! I have been so busy getting ready for a big conference at work. It''s later this week, and I''ve already arrived to begin the setup. Hopefully I''ll have time to post some pictures soon. (I also received my upgraded stone from WF!)
