Poll attached :)

Ok, Im between these settings to go with the GOG AVC I had previously posted about:

http://goodoldgold.com/diamond/8726/

Its a 0.92 K VS2 AGS000 that measures 5.76mm x 5.94mm x 3.77mm. I know she really wants a thinner pave setting and these are the choices Ive found as the most appealing. Please let me know what you think works best with this stone and why.

Some things I like about each:
The Fifth Ave looks similar to the Tiffany Novo. I like the look of the pave and the simple design as well as the shape of the prongs, albeit a tad large. What I dont like is that its a bit thicker than the other settings.
The Corsica has beautiful double prongs and a gorgeous side profile. I cant find a shot of it though from the top down to see what the pave looks like square on
The Harmony has a dainty yet sturdy appearance. The pave seems ot extend to the edges and you dont see much metal between.
Finally, the Elena has a tightly spaced pave which extends near the edges and has a smooth rolled look at the edges. Also has a little more detail work in the prongs. It also has the most tctw in pave yet remains the thinnest band of the bunch while not being an eternity. Probably due to the tight spacing and the extra diamonds in the head.

Im concerned about the fifth ave now because of the width...2.6mm wide for a stone that is 5.94x5.76 might make the stone look smaller visually, no?

Thanks in advance for any comments. The only other setting Ive been eyeing is the Simon G thin pave but not sure if that pave is going to have any life being that small...maybe some people with experience can comment. Thanks !!

I hate to throw out yet another suggestion, but have you already considered the Novela? It's 2mm.

Doesnt look like its available in 18k, only platinum which keeps the price higher and (I think?) makes the setting appear even more white than it would in white gold. Not sure how that would look with the K color stone...

Thanks for your suggestion !

White of the metals will look the same for both wg and plat, at least in the sense you are thinking, so either is fine.

The diamonds are what are going to create a noticable contrast with the K color stone, but I have told you that before ;))

I picked the second setting. The Eleana would be my #2 choice. The Simon G band looked too thin for my liking...

I like the Corsica the best and the Elena second. There will be a color difference between the melee diamonds and the center but personally I don't think it will be very noticeable.

The Corsica and a close second, the Elena.
The Corsica won out for its prongs.

Out of these, the Corsica! Did you ever consider a Bev K halo? It would help with the visual size. I think I've seen a couple from Pearlmans that are well within your budget range (considering the prices of these pieces).

I have a stone with similar very measurements. So does a good friend of mine. I really think those prongs are going to overpower the stone with the Corsica. As much as I REALLY REALLY love double claw prongs, I had to pass them up on my halo setting by Steven who can replicate Leon prongs, and I don't think the Vatche ones are going to be any where near as thin. The prongs are going to be too prominent and too much of a focal point with that setting.

I really think the Fifth Avenue is the way to go. I love the profile and you can see the stone all the way down the head is fluid and the shank is thin, but substantial enough to stand up to everyday wear.

I wouldn't get the Elena because the head gets banged around, and while I personally love the look of paved prongs, for everyday wear wouldn't want them myself.

The Simon G looks dinky to me. And I only like the Harmony the way it was first made, for Lynn with an integrated head.

Just another thought (because everything you posted is beautiful) but have you spoke to Jonathan about the settings that they do custom or the lines that they carry? They have some beautiful beverly k settings as well as many other lines that I know they don't have good photos of online. I'm sure if you link this thread to Jonathan he can forward it to Marie (I think she does most of the settings) and you may be able to get it all done at the same spot and avoid paying a few $$$ in setting fees. Just a thought ::)

No matter what you get though it's going to be a stunner and your lady is going to be thrilled!

My thoughts (in no particular order)
The simon g looks too thin.
Double claws will overwhelm that stone.
I dont like the large block like prongs.

That pretty much leaves Harmony.

Edit ...my second choice would be the corsica

Have I considered it? Yes! Unfortunately, my gf does not like the halo style so alas...no halo's :wink2:

here it is! I think this setting is PERFECT for an AVC.

I also think that setting is very pretty. But...(theres always a but isnt there!) I know she wasnt a fan of too much fillgree and milgraining. That considered, these two JBEG settings are really nice too, albeit pretty pricey.

I believe the Bev K setting can be ordered without engraving if you prefer...I would ask about it if you are interested.

Definitely the Beverly K with no engraving of milgrain. LOVE IT that way!
