Platinum men''s rings and thicknesses

Hello!

My fiance is looking at plain platinum wedding bands, comfort fit, domed style. Kind of like this style:

As I am researching I see that there are lightweight, standard, and heavyweight styles.

Apart from the price, is one weight better than the other in terms of comfort, feeling, durability?
does any one prefer one thickness/weight over the other?
