@Mreader - can’t wait to see your new setting. I will say that my ~2ct CIH in the octagonal setting looks larger than my ~2.74 ct OMC in the bezel. Objectively the OMC is larger (~8.1 x 8.8 vs ~8 mm for the round). The octagon faux bezel really adds width. Very much like a halo.

I haven’t even thought about how to pair it haha. I have two bands that I wear frequently and will see how it looks with those.

@Miss Marple you may remember I posted on your thread that the VC setting is what inspired this one. I was in love with that setting with the roundels that you got recently!!! Interesting that an 8 looks larger than 8.8 with bezel

My eye actually first thought it looks bigger, which is a bonus for this gorgeous design. I love your ideas to combine these two.

I designed my ring with a rounded cushion shape to protect my "very thin" area on my girdle. People often think it is bigger than it is because of that I believe, which was unintended but nice for me!

Same. The mold looks bigger to my eyes... of course, it will be polished down a little.
