Beautiful stone - can''t wait to see your pics!

....and I think buying gemstones would be way more fun than fixing a car door

Car door repairs come and go. A fine gem lasts forever.

Lol. So true Richard.

Do you own this OMC?
Yes, dirt, grease an'' all. We bought it in Ouro Preto in 2003. By the way - sorry for the highjack - if anyone needs an excuse to go on a gem buying trip, Ouro Preto is worth a trip to Brazil on its own. And you don''t need to buy anything; the town itself is a gem of the Portuguese Baroque.

A pink topaz is worth any number of car doors.

Pretty. I bought a triangular shaped stone once, even though I''m not a triangle type lover. You know what, I really like it. It''s fun. I picture this in a pendant with a small diamond at the top to balance it out and still show off the fan shape.

It is gorgeous! I am glad you went for it! I see it set into a deco style pendant with it dangling from a tapered baguette!! ...and if you wanted a more antique look add a halo and some milligrain!!! DROOL!!! .....or forget what I am saying, send it to Leon and let him work his magic!!

Absolutely art deco!!! Lot''s of fan-ish shapes. My hard drive is screaming under the weight of all my art deco jewelry pics. I''ll try to locate a few fans for inspiration.

Posting links for some art deco fan-esque pieces...

A delicious Harriet Kelsall engagement ring (very popular fan shape)

Wow, an amazing estate necklace on amazon. Can't you envision the topaz set at the intersect with a pendant dangling from it. Maybe a couple of bezeled RBs along the chain...

This one's not a fan shape either but it gives you an idea of how you could set the topaz oriented in the other direction. (hanging fan) Filigree pendant.

And a jaw-dropping Aqua pendant. (Scrool about 3/4 down)

Just some inspiration.

I second the deco vote! It''s so pretty, I can''t wait to see your pics when you get it. I''d think about setting it point-down with a drop, maybe a rb or a pear on a thin chain. What a cool stone!

I bought a similar stone from Dan not long ago. I only wish I could afford to keep it.

What happened?? Did you sell it to someone else? What are the specs of your stone?

Is it okay to have a 9ct white gold chain and an 18ct pendant??
I haven''t even received the stone yet and I am having so many thoughts running through my head!

I love art deco but I don''t think it is for me at this time in my life! I think I want more edgy jewelry!

This picture is borrowed from Richard Krementz gemstones.
I am thinking a funky pave shape and the topaz on the bottom.

What do you think?
