I have a pearl station necklace and I wear it all the time. I like to layer it with a pendant necklace. I wear it far more often than my strand of pearls. It feels much more casual to me. I think if you get one you will wear it often! I really like the paperclip example you posted above.

I second or third on a station necklace being a more casual, less formal option. I make my own with sterling wire and argenteum rolo chains.

I’m not sure if this WSS keshi pearl 18 ct gold necklace is classed as a station.

I’ve had it for over a decade & never wear it. We are hosting an event and I’m wearing with a white dress so it works.

Excuse the plastic event table background, I took it out to my husband who is overseeing the set up to get his opinion & to put it on for me as I find the clasp difficult.

i have two similar fresh water necklaces from the early '00's but in silver

your one is so much nicer (not that mine are ugly or anything )
