Another new PSer, here!
I am new to requesting help with CADs, designs or expressing my vision for rings. I do find specific stones beautiful and have collected a few. One of the first I would like to set in a ring is a Jeff White pastel-blue Zircon. I know that people traditionally look for bright blues, or saturated green-blue, but I love the color (for me) on this one.
The question is, for a lightly worn RHR, can this be set as a ring? Should it automatically include some sort of bezeling or protective design, or can I use (double claw) prongs. I am currently thinking of something in the vein of Leon Mege’s classic 5 stone, with trapezoid and bullet side diamonds. My center stone is only 6.77mm of coverage on a 7.25/7.5 US ring finger. How can I increase coverage without going a halo route? Can larger trapezoid diamonds be used? Can someone help me with designs that may look better than what I am thinking, or what you would do with this stone in ring form? I’ve put out a few quotes on setting, but I want to narrow down a specific design vision and be encouraged that I am not headed in the wrong direction.
Center Stone: JL White Blue Zircon, 6.77mm x 6.77mm Asscher
