So I found this stone on ebay (seller's pics below). Have been looking around for a 6mm old cut diamond within my budget ($1,500) for some time now and this one looked really interesting. Plus, it comes with a GIA report so that's a plus for me.
I just wanted to know your opinions, whether you think it is potentially a good/bad stone, etc. Is there anything in the pic or report that I should be concerned about?
I realize it was classified as a "Round Brilliant" but I'm thinking that this is probably because it fails to meet the GIA's criteria for classifying stones as "Old European Brilliant". I also realize that I would have to see the diamond in person in order to be able to evaluate it properly, but I just wanted to know what the experts think based on the information that is currently available.
If it is a bad stone, could you please point me towards better stones within my budget? The seller has a good return policy so I can return this diamond in case I'm not happy with it.
