Opinions on my 1st diamond, please :)

I would like to get a diamond online. It is 3 Excellent but it has a very steep crown angle 36.5. I am afraid it would affect the brilliance level.
However, it's 2.4 rating on HCA tool (not sure if i fully trust HCA)
Table 56%
Depth 62.6%
Crown Angle 36.5
Pavillion Angle 40.6
Star 50%
medium to Slightly think 3.5%

Any comments? Thank you!!!

It’s too deep also. The HCA has been tested and it works as an exclusion tool.

The biggest questions are ... do YOU like the stone? Does it make your heart sing?

It is a tad deep like WW said. How is it facing up sizewise compared to well cut stones of the same carat weight? As far as the angles,
I would want to see an idealscope image to check the leakage.

It's actually from BlueNile. They said they are not able to get me an idealscope image
What else can i do to double check?
So you also think even HCA is 2.4 , it does not mean it's good?

I bought an I colored .37 diamond from blue Nile when I was first learning here and it is a 2.5 hca and it’s sparkly and pretty. I don’t even know the angles.

The good news is blue Nile has a generous return policy so you can check it out and send back if you don’t like it.

Personally I would definitely want reflector images for 36.5/40.6 and they are not likely to be the better ones. Some pricescopers are extremely happy with that combination but not all 36.5/40.6 diamonds are made equal depending on symmetry and rounding. HCA score could easily be below 2 with a 36.3/40.5 combo or above 3 with a 36.7/40.69 combo.. There is a relatively large performance difference in a very narrow change of angles here, so you must assess it, diamond by diamond.

There are so many diamonds online, unless you are looking for something really niche, like a certain colour clarity combo or certain carat size, I would find a safer proportion or at least one you can see images/video/ASET or idealscope.
