What does it score on the HCA tool in the tabs at the top of the forum?

The ASETscope image is tilted so it's difficult to confirm cutting accuracy/leakage.

What is your budget and what are your desired colour/clarity/carat size specifications?

We can help you find alternative options.

Has potential. What’s the price?

The HCA score is 1.3

I paid $17,401 for this diamond.

Thanks guys!

The angles are lovely in my opinion. The ASET is indeed tilted as already stated.

Honestly you did amazingly on the price. I was offered this exact diamond in London England a few months ago - in fact I am looking at a paper copy print out of the GIA report that they gave me for it as we speak (small world, right?) - and I can promise that they were asking an obscene amount more than that for it. But in general, places like that do. I'm pleased to know that less ripping off occurred for this stone. So well done!

Do you have any pictures of the actual stone? How are you going to set it? What do YOU think of it?

Very small world indeed, thats incredible! When I bought it they told me the rock was in India at the supplier... this stone gets around lol. What were they asking for it out of curiosity?

I do not have pictures in person yet since I am waiting for delivery but I have this video the supplier gave me:
https://cutwise.com/diamond/23_5261?format=videoGirdle

I am setting it in a 4 prong solitaire, I went back and forth on 6 vs 4 prong for a while but I decided the 4 prong emphasizes the diamond better in my mind. I wanted the 6 prong more for security and therefore went for a basket 4 prong for some added strength:

I did a lot of research on cuts and this was the best statistically speaking for the price however I haven't seen it in person yet. Overall I am happy with it so far but I do have 30 days to return it if I am missing something the experts are aware of that I am not. :D

I think this will be a pretty awesome stone - but I'm not an expert. Annoying the ASET is tilted, if you don't have the stone yet will they retake it for you? As I've said the angles are delicious :lickout: so I personally think that with the current information/pictures/video you have, it will be fine even if they can't. If you want added security and you're able to, you could buy your own ASET scope - but it's better done whilst the stone is loose.

I was actually doing a bit of research into trying to sell my ring, but lots of places only entertain the idea of this as part of a part exchange. This will sound bizarre because I either want a 1.65 or something 1.8 and above, wasn't really interested in a 1.7 anything. Don't ask me to explain I'm not sure I can haha. So they offered it but it wasn't right for me... Bearing in mind they were going to take my current ring that has a central stone 1.65 F SI1 GIA triple excellent with a platinum ring and total carat weight of 2.45 carats they wanted an ADDITIONAL £13,000 from me or something like that. It might have been a bit more. I laughed in their faces and was thankful it wasn't my perfect stone I was saying no to. You've essentially paid the same without the 'part exchange'. I think the stone was still in India when they offered it to me, but theirs was the buy now and that's it, no return, blah blah blah. Really pays to ask the right questions! :)

The setting looks nice, although just so you know I think one of the main differences when it comes to four and six prongs is how much the girdle of the stone is protected. The basket will keep the prongs together but it won't help with the girdle. Something to think about. My current stone is in a four prong but when I upgrade I'm going for six prongs - even though I prefer the look of four prongs I want that girdle protection. :)

Please share with us the finished ring!

Proportions look awesome.

ASET is disturbing but is obviously tilted. Is it possible to request another, that isn't tilted?

Hearts image looks like there are issues as well.

One last concern. Clouds are the grade setting inclusion, and there are remarks in the notes that additional clouds are not shown. I understand that most VS2 stones are eye clean; however, you need to verify this stone has no milky or hazy appearance as these are potential warning signs.

I asked however the diamond was sent to be set in the ring already.

The clouds would be visible on this right?‍♂️

What do you think the heart images will translate to as far as brilliance/fire/sparkle?

Thanks for your opinion!

It is a perfect diamond, enjoy it's sparkle!

Not a H&A stone, but still a nice well balanced stone. The specs are in the middle of an ideal cut range.
