I noticed yours had a less than 1 score, so i realized mine might be ok, bc yours is perfect!!! Of course, mine isnt half as big as yours, but i think you can see your influence written all over this, esp. in the setting???? :twisted2::appl:

Awww, thanks, @aimeemom! (Sorry, I'm just now seeing this)

I was told by another PS member that HCA scores of <1 tend to be spreadier than others. I had a 60/60 stone before, so I know that I like the bright white flashes. However, my old stone wasn't nearly as nicely cut (HCA was 2.7), it didn't much fire, and it had a flatter top than my current one.

My new stone throws tons of white light AND has some fire. I'm sure it's not nearly as fiery as stones with more "Ideal" angles, but I love it, and I wouldn't trade spread for fire, since it faces up like a 3.5-3.6 ct. It's close to 60/60 with crown of 59 and depth of 58.8... but the crown angle of 34 and pavilion angle of 40.6 just worked.

Re the Jovyn setting, I am still so in love with it -- Caysie is a true artiste and a joy to work with... she created a setting that checked all the boxes AND she put up with my crazy. The main modification was changing the prongs from claws to very petite tabs, reminiscent of vintage T&Co., and I just adore them. I can honestly say that my setting is perfection.

Yeah your comment really got my head out of the numbers and others opinions, and got me to figure it out on my own. I took my time, looked at it in every light concievable, and came to the conclusion that its amazing bc i say so!!! :dance:
And yes my dss is severe...its almost like someone switched the stone overnight, haha! Im hoping that once i switch settings to the cvb,which has a much narrower band, it will look a bit bigger. Fingeres crossed!!!

I had a halo before, and it certainly adds finger coverage. However, I felt kinda overdressed wearing it with yoga pants and a tshirt... and it just didn't fit my new lifestyle with a baby. When I was shopping for erings before we got engaged, I was on the verge of a 6-prong soli, but being the size ho I am, the halo won out! I also knew I'd have an easier time "downgrading" to a simpler setting than a really blinged out one in the future. ;)

The narrow taper towards the stone will make it appear larger though... and you can always have really cool bands made for either side to have a halo-esque look when DSS kicks in... Solis are just the most versatile settings, IMO. :)

Austina, you bring up a very valid point....I was actually looking ( just for kicks and giggles) to see how much I'd have to save to get something noticably bigger than this (1.8 CT) and it would cost me at least an additional $4500 at the specs I have. I don't really want to walk around with that much money on my hand, I be so nervous I'd lose it! Plus, I just don't want to spend that much!!! And thank you, too!! :razz:
Dancing fire, I'm not sure what kind of light they were, I was hoping someone might have seen this before? And it looked even bluer in person! It was pretty, but very weird.....yes my stone has med. blue fluor per gia, but the source had it listed as just blue.
 
Hello Msop04! I meant to ask you, whats the eternity band you have that has platinum bars between the diamonds? I absolutely love that! I have a pave band, and I think adding a band like yours would make a nice trio!!
My diamond has some fire, too, but since my last diamond was not the best (gia triple vg) it might have not taken much to impress me, haha!!
Caysie is sooo nice, and yeah I actually apologized to her for being "weird", bc I was questioning everything!! It's hard doing custom, esp. when everything she has is beautiful, it's hard to choose. I went swoopy like you, but I did keep the claw prongs, bc I've just always had them.
Please, please let me know about that beautiful band tho, i think that may be going on my list to Santa!!:Up_to_something2:

UV light? b/c, That is a "deep blue"
 
Also, I did buy a black light bulb so I could see the fluor, and honestly, it didnt glow that much. I had to compare to a non fluor diamond to really see it. But it was def. blue. I'm glad it has the fluor, all in all, bc, in a lot of lighting situations, it looked whiter than my old "high" H!! And no haze either. :kiss2:

Thanks JDDN we and tyty! Wish I had a better camera on my phone. Doesn't do it justice! I'd really like to get a diamond band to go with it, but not sure what would go...I really want something with a vintage feel.
 
Update! Got my diamond band! It was an eBay find, and I'm so happy with it! The set is complete!
On a side note, I am selling my BGD legera diamond band on eBay....not sure if anyone here is interested. It's not the kind of thing that's going to be recognized for what it is there, so I'm a bit worried that it will sell. I love the band, but the diamonds are too white and make my solitaire look dingy. If interested, please let me know! :) IMG_20180125_095053471.jpg

Thank you both for the compliments! You wouldn't believe how little I paid for it, it was a real steal! Its a little big, it needs a polishing, and I really need to have the prongs checked, but all in all I'm super pleased with how it looks!
The diamonds are a teeny bit whiter than my solitaire, but it's not nearly as noticable as with my BGD. :)

Sorry I'm just seeing this! The band is actually just a 14K white gold stacker from Gabriel & Co! It's the cutest little ring and very affordable! You should totally get one!! We'll be ring twins! ;)

Omg thank you soooo much for the link! I did so many random searches but came up empty...its totally my fault you didnt see the question, i wasnt responding correctly. Did you get the 14k wg, or did you opt for platinum? I totally agree about taking out the sizing bar, that looks akward, lol! I think it would fun to be ring twins! Maybe i can weasel one out of myhubby for valentines day??
