Opinion Poll: J or K color and carat dilemma

Hello again!

So since I last posted we have gotten the K to review. I am happy that we did this before setting. My bf and I both ended up both having concerns about the color. Maybe it’s the lighting in our place (yellow tint). And maybe we need better direct sun. However it got me thinking of looking at alternatives and if I myself can help pitch in for a higher color grade.
I was looking at a similar size ACA J
But the aset image has me a bit concerned?

Can you all please leave your 2cents, I’d very much appreciate it.

This ASET image is computer generated, which isn't always an accurate representation - what does the ASET that WF posts on their website look like? If you're considering another ACA then I seriously wouldn't worry about it but you could reserve the stone and then post it here.

I have learned that the center being green or a mixture of green / red has to do with the pavilion angle. I was wonderingly how this would look in appearance and the fire of the diamond etc.

I hope you bought the 1.238 K. I’d been eyeing it for a bit and even saw it in store- it was lovely. Unfortunately, boyfriend isn’t ready to do the buying part yet . Naturally, I’ve been keeping an eye on it, and I was a little heartbroken when I saw it had been reserved and then purchased. I was wondering when I was going to come across it’s new person. Please send pics! It was so beautiful, I hope you enjoy it and it’s perfect amount of warmth and sparkle.

From the photos, the 1.23 K to me looks almost a J. If you find to be that too tinted, I don’t think you are going to be okay with a J. The color difference will be VERY subtle.

That’s also what I imagine @CareBear . I was able to get the stone in direct light before sunset yesterday. With the bamboo bushes waving - dispersing the light. And OMG I was totally shocked. It was absolutely stunning - such an assortments of colors!! So vivid as well. Just extrodinarly happy about how it was shining.
Honestly I think if I were to upgrade I would want to be able to put significantly more $$ down (~$2000+) to be able to get another maybe larger ACA while in the G-I range. Until then my heart is filled with how stunning it looked and how happy I am to have done a diligent search to find it. I am not going to lie @rockysalamander I saw that J @ 1.138 online as well & it looks equally beautiful and tempting! We are going with the WF elegant setting in Yellow Gold. I think the yellow gold, the 6-prongs & and how the prongs v off at the bottom will help a bit with the side profile. We shall see!
