opinion on diamonds

I am trying to pick out a diamond as an engagement ring. Any suggestions or advice about the diamonds below would be greatly appreciated.

Stone # 1 Saw sarin (think contrast showed 48% (though it might have been light loss). I didn't really undertand it, but it did not show "arrows", but black lines radiating from the center - one did not show up very well.

I don't think you are getting the best deal with those diamonds, not sure where you are shopping.

I think this diamond below is great value for money if you want to drop to a G and don't be put off by si1, this diamond has only small inclusions that could be covered by prongs. It's 1.4 carats, personally if my partner was spending 13k on a diamond I would want it to be bigger than have a smaller D/F VS2 because I doubt she would know the difference once the beauty is on her finger! All of these threads girls drool over the big diamonds, not the highest clarity! When she is showing it off to her friends and family, people will remark on how BIG it is not "OMG it's so white and eye clean!" haha
