OMC and a new CVB setting

Im a long time lurker that fell in love with old cuts, so when I found an omc on Etsy I took a chance and bought it up. The first time I opened the ring box I gasped! The big chunky flashes of color are gorgeous and I couldn't be happier. It came in the original solitaire setting and I wasn't completely satisfied with the way it looked, so I emailed Cvb about her dahlia setting. She has been wonderful to work with. So here is my Dahlia! She is posing with a CVB Sophia band which will be in my future for sure.

I've always been a bit leery about buying real diamond or gemstone rings from Etsy. I have bought some handcrafted jewelry, but nothing over $100. I have no idea why, as I keep seeing great finds like yours. Is it a safe purchase? Buying high dollar items from Etsy?

It came today! It's so beautiful, the setting is perfect for the diamond, I'm so happy! i have it stacked here with a yogo Montana sapphire band from CVB and a diamond eternity band.
