Old Lady Hands..

Ha Azstonie! probably, but then again, I was a coder at IBM in the EARLY early 80s.. and I know Assembler/370, C+, and a lot of other languages.. but to a whippersnapper like the 'kid', I'm sure he knows not what that means, probably uses Python or some other easy peasy language... I uploaded it straight up from my computer rather than uploading through pricescope and I think that was the issue but then again, I'm old and lazy

Well, my hands are pretty swollen from retaining lot of water at 8mos pregnant so wrinkles are smoothed out. They'll come back soon enough.

I was quietly following the thread in RT that Elle just locked down and her parting comments were we could continue to post our old lady hands. I guess they think we are all old. I know I'm probably a little older than the median. DF you know our average diamond cts do you know our average age?

The avg Pser's center stone is 1.18ct, and the avg age is 32 yrs old. yes Mary, you are over the hill ...

This thread is cracking me up. I now find myself frantically searching through my photos trying to find the worst looking shots.
Here is serious food for thought - if we women are the "old guys", then is DF the "old lady"? I'm confused. But it doesn't matter anyway because, DF, there is a distinct hint of youth to those hands that makes you a "old-wannabe".

oh! I found it... the best old-lady-hand shot. gives a little perspective -
specially to the 30-somethings.

In the spirit of truth, this is not my hand, but what I hope to achieve! [long life, big asscher].

Now that is something to aspire to, Jimmianne. It gives me an idea. We all need to have fake copies made of our favorite jewels so we can rock them in the old folks home! Stuff gets stolen in those places so you can't take your real jewels, so we'll have to have substitutes to wear! And hey, that might just be the ticket to getting the big asscher!!!

Here are my 5 decades old hands. And a little bit of bling too. Most of my bling is older than me and that is saying something LOL.
Last 3 pics are from my visit with LLJsmom and having fun trying on some bling. The ruby and sapphire are sadly not mine.

Nothing wrong with your hands and your hair is to die for....I wish it was mine! Are the pictures of the sapphire and ruby rings from DBL?

I noticed a deep wrinkle in my earlobe the other day. Aging shows no mercy. I was quite upset because the wrinkle threatens to swallow my .75 diamond stud. Then I came to my senses and realized I'd just have to get bigger studs and cover that darn wrinkle. There are some benefits to wrinkling.

My old hands adorn an OEC from Old World Diamonds in a custom setting from ERD. They have lots of wrinkles but I worked hard earning every one of them. The good thing is, I think the bling is a great wrinkle distraction.

So far everyone's hands are beautiful . I got a set of hands that are 46 years old but no sun screen while driving up and down Southern California freeways has given them sun spots. Now I wear driving gloves all year round . Jewelry by DK and IDJ. Unmaintained nails included !!
