Old earrings, eBay, gorgeous but... the price?

I am currently, surprisingly, completely earring-less. Tragic! So the craving to fill the earlobe void is real.
These earrings are exactly what I’ve been looking for, but at $1800 it’s out of my budget. What do you all think of them? And what do you think they’d realistically sell for?

They are really pretty, but I don't think the carat weight supports the $1800 price tag.
I looked at the offerings from that seller, and all of it seems kinds high. Just my opinion!

I agree! Even at $1500 they are beyond me, but I figured I'd ask opinions!

I actually don’t think that they are terribly priced. They are beautiful earrings. The shop selling them seems to specialize in antiques (https://www.reigningjewels.com), if I were you I’d give them a call and see how low they might be willing to go and take it from there.

If you want to comparison shop, try a DIY approach and price out how much it would be to get these settings and stones in your budget.

Like any purchase of a maybe "one of a kind" item or a vintage or pre-loved piece of jewelry, I always hear that a good price is one that makes both the seller and the purchaser happy. Probably, if you find yourself coming back to them over and over again, you will like them at any 'reasonable' price.
