Oh no! Can I not wear my new sapphire band with my rings??

Eeeeeeek! I was just browsing around and saw several posts about it not being ok to wear white gold next to platinum! I just got that white gold sapphire and diamond band and was planning to wear it next to my platinum wband (which is full eternity w/3 pt diamonds). My ering is platinum as well. So is this sapp band not a good fit? Please tell me now so I can return it if I''ve made a boo boo!

My mother has worn a 5 stone white gold band next to her platinum wedding band for at least 20 years with no problem whatsoever. The problem comes in when settings are made so that they rub against the other (as in a part that sticks out). I''d think you''ll be fine as long as the diamonds can''t scratch the white gold ring.

My grandmother wore her WG 5 stone diamond ring next to her platinum e-ring for years. She had them soldered together at some point, though, so there weren''t any issues with rubbing. I''d maybe make a post in RT about WG next to platinum and see what the experts say can happen.

I have worn plat and WG together and never had an issue at all.
