OH MY GOSH I just found my diamond!!!!!

WOW

just came back from viewing a potential (for the millionth time) and totally unexpectedly, I have FOUND THE ONE!!!!!


SPECS:

2.03 carat
Round Brilliant
H colour
Cut - Excellent
Clarity - SI2

I am SOOOOOOOO excited!!

Although it is SI2 it is eye clean at normal wearing/viewing distance - if i get right up close I can see one of the inclusions but because of the size and the beautiful cut they appear like just a more shadowy facet not like a mark (as I have seen in other diamonds)

As soon as I saw it I knew it was the one, and after lurking for awhile and posting for the first time a few days ago I could not wait to jump on PS and rant and rave about it, because I am not engaged yet so nobody can know that I found it!!!!

phew ... so now how do I wait the potential eternity until it is set and then even longer until my man decides it is time to pop the question??????

OK, now, about the setting....when you say "classic" do you mean solitaire classic? Or do you mean antique kind of classic?

On the Art of Platinum website there''s a really gorgeous solitaire setting, the image ID is r909. There''s also r1005, if you want something that sits a little lower.

Re setting - im thinking classic simple lines - thin band and I''m a yellow gold girl which should be a little different - I love 4 claws and it is a round brilliant...

At this stage not sure whether to go with a more ''interesting'' design or because it is a pretty serious rock just go with a really straight plain simple thin band and let the diamond speak for itself... i figure later i could always add a diamond set wedding band for more bling... does anyone have pics of their plain gold Ering with a diamond WB?

Not sure about the waiting game, my guy is very ''in control'' and once he has the ring he wont wait too long i dont think, but he said he already has a date and knowing him he will not change it and would definitely have the discipline to wait until the date he has set.... so heres hoping his date is not far away!!!
