HAHAHA!!!!!! No his name is not Walter. It''s Rook. He''s a Rhodesian Ridgeback. He''s my big huge sugar!
 
Talk about BIG. Winston is an 8 lb ball of fluff. He only counts as half a dog, right?
 
No, no - He''s still a whole dog! Just a teeny one! My cat is bigger than him! He''s almost 16 lbs.

Is Winston a Shih Tzu also?

BTW, our Mazie, runs up the stairs to our bedroom, sometimes she is farting all the way up the stairs, it is sooooooooooooooo funny. Once she is at the top of the stairs, she stops and smells her butt. ha ha ha ha
 
Are your dogs lap dogs? I saw a very cuddly Shih Tzu at my son''s soccer practice a few days ago. It was so darling. I''m kind of wanting a small dog.

just two days ago dh and I had to pick a new dogfood for posie because for two weeks she has been passing gas like a human. Who knew a dog could flap like a human.

Dogs are the worst. Ours could clear a room in 3 seconds flat.

I love it when dogs fart and then look round at their butt to see where it came from!! That cracks me up!!

Hey Miranda sweetie!! Yes, our Mazie is a lap dog. She is a Lhasa Apso and a cousin to the Shih Tzu. They look exactly alike, except the Lhasa''s have a longer nose.

Ooh lucky you! I''ve not been to M&S for ages. I have been trying to avoid the cakes and biscuits!!

Now I am really going to lower the tone... has anyone drained their dogs anal sacs? Oh my word. Its like the worst smell in the world. And the poor dog goes through anxiety when you draw near with the cotton wool and gloves.... fear when you actually drain them.... and then total indignation that you even did that to their butt.

I will actually pay £28 just to have the vet drain them.

Yes Harriet... normally you smell an awful fishy stink and thats time to have it done. I think it happens to smaller breeds. Our pet was a patterdale terrier and she was such a stinky dog.

You have to get your fingers behind the dogs bum hole (typing this is making me crack up laughing!!) and then at 10 and 2 oclock you squeeze and push forward and all of a sudden a whooooosh of brown yukky stuff flies out.

Not for the faint hearted!
 
Mazie makes us laugh when she scoots. DH says "oh look she is doing skid marks" ha ha ha. She doesn''t scoot hardly ever though
