Obamas, Clintons, and CNN Targeted after George Soros

Pathetic that I have to spell it out for these people. The last two years have shown just how much this country is lacking in education. Like it's hard to put 2+2 together. What is the ONE common denominator here? Couldn't possibly be Trump, right? And they STILL don't get it.

Or maybe they do and they just don't care, which is even worse. :angryfire:

The silence of our Republican elected officials is deafening.

If you haven’t heard Republicans condemning these actions, you should consider changing your news/information source/s. I’ve heard several publicly condemning these attacks as well as (in recent weeks/months) condemning the left’s rhetoric calling for harassment of Republicans - not just politicians, but average citizens going about their daily lives.

His supporters sure like to ignore the orange elephant in the room. Sadly I think the majority of his supporters really don’t care.

I just heard Ben Sasse and John Kasich speak out. So yes, some republicans are choosing to speak out. I also heard two republicans last night. This should not be a partisan issue. Every politician should be speaking out.

There is now a second package that was addressed to Biden.

De Niro got one too, at his restaurant in Tribeca.

This should not be a partisan issue.

Here's a thought - maybe stop making it a partisan issue with the partisan finger-pointing and blame BEFORE the facts are known, a suspect/s and motive identified, etc. You can't control what others do, but you can control your own words, behavior and actions.

Good for you. Now show me all the examples of President Obama encouraging Democrats to physically attack Republicans. Because that's the comparison here - nothing else.

I’m not digging them all up, but he (Obama) did say at a campaign event back in 2008 to his supporters "if they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun". Now I don’t take his words as intended literally, and I’m sure some libby will follow up saying ‘that’s just one’ or ‘he didn’t mean literally’ ... stuff it. :hand:

Trump didn’t tell anyone - that I am aware - to go throw together some homemade bombs and ship ‘me off to lefties. :roll

I don’t think much of what is said in political discourse is intended to be taken literally. But there are always crazies out there who will feed and act on that kind of crap ... on BOTH sides ... or people so mentally unstable they can’t decipher rhetoric from reality. Words don’t ‘matter’ less when it’s a dem saying it, much to some people’s chagrin.

This kind of thing comes as no surprise, given the hate-filled atmosphere that has been created in the USA.:(sad

There's plenty of hate, vitriol, and negative rhetoric to go around that's for sure.

Keep going around in circles about the hateful rhetoric while failing to put the blame where it belongs, on our President. Every other President understood it was their job to unite the country. Trump fails to grasp this.

Trump actually said at his rally last night that he was being nice and behaving. What past President would ever make such a comment or need to point out that they were behaving?

I love you CC. But do not waste your time on these people. It's literally THREE members of pricescope. There are no more. They can brag about how brave they are to speak out, but they literally represent a laughable minority on this board. They will always have some weird fox post or some bizarre outlaying conspiracy theory to post and will ramble on at will with nothing important to say. Don't engage. They are dinosaurs and will be gone soon. Thank god.

This will be in the history books. Or e-text. The internet, what have you. It will be the darkest time in U.S. History since the civil war and Jim crow. And everyone defending him here will take great pains to cover up their post and comments here since they are easily searchable.

Unless they are ok with their grandkids hating them.

Here's where the replublican/democrat differences lie. Republicans care about their kids. Democrats care about all kids.

Like I said, plenty to go around. :rolleyes2:

These are terrible acts and hopefully the people are caught immediately because this is not what this country should be doing. But by this reporting I can squarely blame Bernie Sanders, Eric Holder, Maxine Waters other Dems calling for harassment of officials for the shooting of Steve Scalise and other Republicans at a baseball field. Right?

Like I said, plenty to go around. :roll2:

I agree! And you accounting for the lion's share. Bless your "little" heart. :kiss2::kiss2::kiss2::kiss2:

Certainly some Republicans have condemned the terrorism. On the other hand, as I heard someone comment on the news tonight, can you imagine how the incident would be treated by The White House and the rest of the government if, instead of it being domestic terrorism aimed at Democrats it had been terrorism by al Qaeda or Isis aimed at US business leaders? These were assassination attempts at two former US presidents; a sitting member of the US Congress; a former CIA director; a former vice president and a former Attorney general. This should be shaking every member of the government to his very core. This should be a crisis of the proportions of 9/11. Even if it turns out to be a loner, he is a terrorist. Perhaps a lunatic, that we cannot yet know, but acting as a terrorist would. This should be a national crisis.

The problem is that the current president lobs a constant stream of lies, insults, dares, braggadocio and bullying. Both in person at his nazi rallies and on twitter. He is responsible for this atmosphere. And the Republican politicians and the media are responsible for normalising it. Not a single Republican politician has the balls to actually stand up to him because they're all busy trying to feather their stock portfolios and retirement funds, which they know they'll need them the instant this buffoon is carried out of Pennsylvania Ave in a straitjacket. At this point, for better or for worse, they've tied their boats to him and have shown repeatedly that other than a little handwringing, they'll do nothing. Does Paul Ryan even go to work any more?

I guess, if in 8 years, that's the most egregious display of Obama's incivility and fomenting violence you can come up with, he must have been a truly dangerous man. Why not just be honest and admit that the whole problem is that he dared to president while black?

And I know google is hard, but a dab of context

As always, it's just not enough to just "like" your wonderful, well thought out and articulate post.

1) WRONG. ALL politicians who use violent rhetoric to fire up their bases and the media who give them air time are responsible for this atmosphere, to include several of those on the receiving end of these packages. You don’t get to say things like “bring a gun”, “kick ‘em”, “you can’t be civil until the dems are back in power”, “push back on them and tell them they are not welcome here”, etc. then act innocent when your own hostile rhetoric brings about hostility towards you. You want to pick apart Chump’s comments, then you need to force the Dems to own their comments and role in this environment as well. And no, that is not me condoning the packages being sent - I don’t. But Chump is not the only one guilty of making such comments, and he himself has been on the receiving end of such threats, suspicious packages, etc. Where was the outrage then? Crickets ....

2) That is not the only comment Obama made in his campaign & presidential era that was perceivable as ‘hostile’, not to mention racially divisive; but you glaze over where I said I wasn’t digging them all up. You are free to search them out if you want. I could post them all and you and others here will just give him a pass, cry ‘racism’, and every other argument that has been made to defend him. Been there, done that, passing on buying the t-shirt. :hand:

@jaaron, I wish I could like your post a million times. You summed up perfectly what has been happening the past two years in the US perfectly. I’m not sure if you are currently living in the US. There are days it feels like a completely different country than it was 4 years ago. Lies are now considered the every day norm from this President. What is worse is the Republican leaders are not leaders by any stretch of the imagination. They are consumed with putting their focus on making money for themselves and winning. The well being of our people and the country is no where near the top 10 of their priorities.

This president has brought our country into the gutter all because a decent and kind black man was elected president. The media has helped by constantly focusing on everything Trump. The problem is that 1/2 our country finds Trump’s behavior acceptable. All you have to do is read some of the comments hear. Where are our American values? History will show this as an ugly time in our Country.

There are days It feels like we are living in a Jerry Springer show that never ends.

The expression "bring a gun to a knife fight" or alternatively "don't bring a knife to a gun fight" is a very common colloquial phrase in the English language. When that's what you have to point to when trying to show "Obama did it too!" that's a pathetic grasping at straws. I don't actually blame Trump for whoever sent these packages. I do agree we're all responsible for our own actions. So when is Trump going to be responsible for his? Why is every single attempt to discuss his behavior met with "but but whatabout!" You can't say people are responsible for their own words and then try to deflect every. single. time the topic of Trump's rhetoric comes up.

Good news, though, there has been an arrest!

A suspect was arrested. He is a male in his 50's. I see vintageloves mentioned it above. (Originally he was simply taken in for questioning.) I just saw police covering his white van with a blue tarp after the arrest.

And this is the word of truth. I do not advocate any violence, but I do advocate action. I advocate decency. I advocate speaking truth to power. I advocate voting for Democrats to check Donald Trump and the abuse of power.

To stop the sleuthing over the meaning of all the stickers all over the windows. It's already all over social media.

ETA: CNN keeps using the footage of the uncovered van as they're talking. I know they feel personally attacked, but that's not cool. LO covered that thing for a reason. Respect the process. And how is it even legal to drive a vehicle with the back windows blocked like that? It's so over the top I expect more "false flag" speculation.
