woohoo @mrs-b I’m so glad your friend can visit for Christmas. Yes, it’s manic here. I’m resigned to things getting damaged or going missing, as long as the important pieces arrive in one piece I’ll be happy. I hope your back continues to be less problematic and of course, if you can avoid major surgery, so much the better.

I can’t begin to imagine how painful the anniversary of your loss is @rainwood, I just hope the memories of your happy times and the love you shared sustain you.

oh no @canuk-gal I hope your Mum is ok.

so glad the weather is great for riding @missy, yes one day at a time and hopefully you’ll finally get some positive news and results.

It’s crazy here, one stress after another, which we really don’t need. Can I please ask that you keep everything crossed for us that the removal people can get here and get us packed up next week? We can’t complete the sale until we’re sure the house is clear.

Result of my smear was all clear, so that’s out of the way and it looks like we’re going to be flying direct to Austin now.

NIRDI shout out on this chilly fall day. Gloomy and overcast. Errands today--no exercising.

Went out for supper last night and I made the mistake of not eating all day (also cycled) so by the time supper came around I could feel myself bottoming out in the restaurant. Head spinning I had to hold onto the table so I wouldn't faint. What a horrible feeling that hypoglycemia is. I asked for some apple juice and I drank alot but it took me a while to perk up. This is the second time this has happened to me--last time was after my second Covid vaccine. Anyway, I need to do better.

Nothing exciting here. Sometimes that is a good thing.

Hi to everyone else. It was a wonderful cycling day yesterday.
We hit 7K on the bike for 2021 so far woohoo!

At 2:15PM we hit 7,000 miles.




And we got to go to the Zombie walk too. The 13th annual Zombie walk as last year was canceled due to the pandemic.

@missy your pictures are so gorgeous. I love seeing the sights, people and treats on your outings. We haven’t had snow yet but a few frosts. The zombies are great! That’s great Greg could be retiring soon. A friend of mine thought she’d start a Marcy Retirement Pool with extra points for when I quit, how much notice I give, what pushes me over the top and my SIL and I decided we add I get fired. I can totally understand listen to the ocean waves can put you to sleep. I hope that specialist will have a telemedicine appointment with you. Good luck with that! Woo hoo for hitting 7K this year.

@canuk-gal keeping you and your family in my thoughts. Darn that the “s” word is showing up in forecasts - we’ve had some around the state but none hear yet. Sorry you had a reaction at dinner after not eating all day. Glad the apple juice helped.

@MamaBee fun to be decorating for fall and Halloween. Good luck with your braces; Marty had to do regular braces too but he did great with them. He got the metal looking ones. He wore his for 2 years and has permeant retainer on the bottom now.

@Calliecake sorry your dad was so confused at the hospital. I am glad he is home now and doing better. Thank you for thinking of me.

We had a busy weekend. My SIL came up in the afternoon. We all went up to the mountains to look at autumn leaves. Marty wanted more wide angle shots so I didn’t get some close up shots of trees and leaves. I thought of running back up there this morning but was too busy. Today I went grocery shopping, did laundry, made myself a pizza and watched some more of season 2 of 24. Marty had 5 clients compete in a strength competition. They are at least placed. His 79 year old won her division and was a crowd favorite. Everyone really cheered her on. I had popcorn for supper.

Hi to everyone else. We enjoyed a gorgeous ride yesterday. The weather could not have been nicer. We rode, we had ice cream and we visited Louie. He is a handsome baby. We like to alternate visiting our friends (outdoors) and their furry babies. It is a really nice way to enjoy cycling and socializing and we do it very safely and I get my puppy fix too.

I don't know if you remember Louie? He used to be a baby and now he is fully grown. 2 and a half years old. He is all muscle.

I admit I’m incredibly anxious ATM, I hardly slept last night wondering if they’d get here. They’re cracking on, and said tomorrow there’ll be 3 of them and then 4 the following day to really get it done.

Phew, it’s been pretty full on here today, but they’ve already accomplished quite a lot. My OCD about everything being in it’s place is in overdrive at the moment, I can’t stand the house being such a mess.

They’re leaving our bedroom until Thursday @MamaBee, then they’ll pack up the beds and furniture. (We’re only taking 2 beds) the other 4 we’ve sent to be recycled). I’ve already sorted out our clothes for the rest of the week here, and then for the hotel, so on Thursday morning, I’ll get up extra early to wash our bathrobes and towels that we’re using, so they can be dry for them to pack. Not sure if I’ll have time to do the bedding, it might have to be packed without being washed first All the other bedding and towels, has been washed and put in vacuum bags ready for them to pack.

I found some things in a cupboard today that I’d forgotten about, put them on the FB free page and they’ve gone already.

I usually do mostly fall decorations too. My grandson asked me if I had any scary decorations. I told him no..just pumpkins, friendly bats and ghosts. He’s coming in three weeks for a visit. I’m going to surprise him!
