@Tekate, I'm sorry Kate, Auti, and Mike aren't feeling well and hopefully none of this is serious. Sending lots of love and comfort to you.

@missy, I hope you're feeling better very soon. Hopefully this turns out to be just a cold that has to run its course. Rest up and take care. Very cute pic of the kitties in their playpen. Beautiful pics of the flowering trees and your rings are really cute.

@Austina, glad your items arrived and you're feeling relieved. I read about the clapping for those working on the front-line, such a nice gesture. Hopefully your Prime Minister's case stays mild.

@canuk-gal , really good idea to wear a mask. I've been seeing more people wearing them recently.

@marcy, your cookies look delicious. My hair looks ok but kind of wonky and I know my hairdresser is going to have a good laugh when she sees it. I hope your workweek goes smoothly this week and with less hiccups. Lol to having a talkative sister...I have to admit, there are times I'm not up for a long chat either, especially in the evening.

@Mamabean, my sister and I used Zoom and it was fun...although neither of us was thrilled about how we looked lol. She said "I'm not sure this is going to work for me" haha. I'm hoping if your husband ended up coming that the visit went well. It's terrible you have to be without him, I know it must be very hard.

@Scandinavian, aw, I'm sorry about your furbaby's infection and I hope it clears up soon.

@Jimmianne, your posts are not clueless. I think it's a given we're all worried out of our minds! I enjoy hearing about your everyday life. it is a nice distraction from my worries. It's comforting to me that you are finding a little bit of enjoyment during this incredibly stressful time. Your garden looks amazing, and I love whipped cream in my coffee.

@AV_, your pictures are gorgeous. Those irises are beautiful. So awesome you have oranges right outside your window! It is impossible these days not to be worried about friends and I hope the people you've gotten to know stay healthy. And good luck with your draft.

@bling_dream19 , sounds like you are keeping busy and productive. Love marinara sauce. Your sapphire ring is just stunning, one of the prettiest rings I've seen...and I've seen a lot of rings during my time here lol.

@Niffler75, I'm glad you finding things to do that help calm you. Love the Steampunk picture, so fun. Can't wait to see your new ring. I'm sorry your son had a rough day and I hope tomorrow is better for him. Take care and try to relax when you can. Love your window, so cute!

@Keeliamira, thank goodness you don't have a tumor but I'm sorry about the uncertainty of your condition. Take care of yourself, you have a full plate and are doing a lot. It's great you're enjoying your new appliances. Amazing pic of the rainbow, what a pretty place. Sending good thoughts that your friends and family stay well, I know it's a very scary time.

@jaaron, that video is hysterical! Thank you for the laugh. I hope your family members are recovering and doing well. I'm so sorry you had to deal with this horrible virus and I'm hoping everyone is ok.

Everyone is healthy here so I'm grateful for that and I just hope it continues. The days go by quickly even though I'm not doing much of anything. Just trying to stay occupied - exercising, cleaning, reading, painting. Worried about everything and anything but trying to keep it under control.

Thinking of you all, stay safe and be well <3

GM lovely ladies. Happy (I hope) Monday to you all.

@Tekate Greg and I continue keeping you and your family in our thoughts and prayers and continued healing dust to Kate, Auti and Mike. ((((HUGS)))).

@Mamabean oh no. I believe I read animals can carry it on their hair/skin but not sure we can get infected from them and vice versa...will read that link as soon as I am done posting. Very scary and unhappy info.

Marty met some of his clients in the park for a barbell lifting meet. They all kept their distance from each other and had wipes to clean what they used plus hand sanitizer. They had fun. I ventured to the grocery store. I got us more eggs and bread but the rest was mostly baking or snacking stuff. Since I got ice cream I ran that all home then went back to the park to get a picture of the lifting crew. After there I ventured out to the cemetery to put some yellow roses on my parent’s grave. After that I let my Porsche run wild and free which both of us thoroughly enjoyed.

I did presses and rows today and will do deadlifts tomorrow. I may as well lift 4 days a week since I’m grounded.

I am glad you got to visit and put yellow roses on your parents grave. I know that brings back bittersweet memories especially at a difficult time like this. Gentle hugs.

Wow that looks like Nirvana. To be in a park so free of others and to be able to exercise. Enjoy and good for you and Marty and his clients @marcy. And woohoo to doing press and rows and deadlifts today. I agree you might as well lift as many days as you are allowed (is it every other day for the same muscle groups? That is arms one day, legs one day?) and enjoy and be well. (((HUGS))).

@Jimmianne how are you doing? Sending you hugs and love.

Missy I love the pictures! If this is your block in Brooklyn I am jealous! We lived in a brownstone on the UWS and we loved it. Hope to be back there someday. Thank you for the happy pictures of NYC and some blooms!

Thank you @OdetteOdile. It is not my block but very close. And it is my pleasure to share anything I can to bring some cheer to this less than bright time. Sending you hugs and well wishes.

A quick shout out to everyone this evening. :wavey:Been a difficult one as my son really struggles with anxiety and with everything going on it's quite a potent mix particularly on an evening. :knockout: So sending ((hugs)) to everyone. Here is a picture of our rainbow we made for our front window. Hope it brightens your day! :mrgreen2:
20200329_144519.jpg

(((HUGS))) to you and your son and DH @Niffler75. That is a lovely photos and I am sending love and peace your way. We are all going to be OK and I hope your son starts feeling less anxious soon. Such a challenging predicament especially for children. I can only imagine because I too get anxious so how can we expect the little ones to remain zen. Sending you bright thoughts and calm vibes. XOXO.

@junebug17 so glad all is well by you and remains peaceful and calm. I hear you re the days going by quickly. They all blur into another but it's OK. One day at a time and before we know it we will be out of this and safe and well. Are you thinking about going to SC? We are considering heading to the beach house but not for another month or so and only then if we are healthy and are allowed to go. Luckily the rescue person at the beach said she would feed our ferals if we cannot get back there so that is a relief for us. Sending you and your family good wishes Junie.

@missy I’ve read that if you’re ‘snotty’ it’s not one of the symptoms of CV, I’m continuing to keep the healthy vibes winging your way across the Atlantic, Stay in and stay safe. Adam and Kim are fine and have no intentions of leaving the house any time soon, they’re well stocked and safe, and that’s all we want to hear.

Cool and windy here today, so we haven’t even been outdoors, we‘re amusing ourselves playing games and keeping calm.

Keeping all the lovely NIRDIs in my thoughts and wishing you all good health, keep safe my dear friends :wavey:

Thank you @Austina unfortunately I am not snotty (haha there are jokes in there somewhere) and just a little drip now and then...but no change today so I will take it. Haven't taken my temperature yet (and in fact didn't take it yesterday either) but I think if I had a fever I would know it? I will check later. But I will take not getting worse for sure. Hope you are well and keeping upbeat. Looking forward to us all being on the other side of Covid 19 well and healthy and safe and sound. And looking forward to getting together IRL to celebrate. (((HUGS))).

@bling_dream19 hugs to you sweet friend. Hope all is continuing to go well.

@sarahb continued good thoughts and well wishes being sent your way. XO

@Keeliamira how are you doing? How is your family? Thinking of you and sending hugs and good wishes and all the best. Hang in there. One day at a time. (((HUGS))).

@springerspaniel thinking of you and your family and sending all the best. XO

@Poodles4me (((hugs))) and good wishes. Be well and be safe. XO.

@AV_ continued well wishes being sent your way.

@Slick1 ((((HUGS))) and and everything good being sent your way. Hope your DD is continuing to do well and be happy to be home with you. I am so happy you are all together. How is your son and his wife doing? Continued healing dust being sent to you dear friend.

@Scandinavian how is Furbaby's paw? How is your mom and grandmother doing? And how are the kids feeling being at home? Hugs to you.

@canuk-gal hugs and good wishes to you and your family. Hope all is going well.

We had a friend and colleague who is a retinal specialist who came down with Covid 19 last week and he was admitted to the ICU just this past Wednesday and it was touch and go :( He is only 48 and no preexisting conditions. Thank goodness he turned the corner yesterday! They gave him a mix of hydroxychloroquine and zpac and the doctor told him that prob saved him from being intubated and that most likely he will not need to tube as getting through the worst of it. They may do a trial of interluekin 6. His blood work has improved. CRP 16 down to 4!! Anyway what a relief. So scary. There seems to be at times no rhyme or reason to who gets so ill.

So yesterday passed uneventfully and we played Scrabble. I won. Greg isn't really a game player but he does it for me. He is a good DH. Anyway it's another day and wishing everyone good health and sending lots of love your way.

Last night Greg as usual rounded up Gracie and Oliver when we were ready for bed.

Good morning girlfriends...I thought I would follow up like @Jimmianne and post some pics of where I’m hiding out from that #$!+* virus...My yard here in Maryland is OLD...It doesn’t have pretty new pavers...It had the old brick original to the house married to the newer pavers in the back yard. The walk on the side of the house needs to be redone but they wouldn’t give me approval so it stays looking like it is..They wouldn’t let me replace the chicken wire fence along that walk but it was dangerous to Bailey and the kitties that like to visit me. I had my handyman get sheets of fencing from Home Depot and replace it..If they find out then it won’t be too expensive to tear it out...I would also have to pay a fine but there’s no reason they would be visiting my back yard...I still have a chicken wire fence on the right side but my handyman added wood to stabilize it and make it safer...It’s ugly but I have to live with it...The gazebo is original to the house from 1905. The original parts are the six tree limbs and the roof...The floor, the bracing pieces of wood and the benches were added later. I want to replace the roof but everyone freaks out around here because moss grows in it and that’s a good thing here..haha..
So that path is where I give Bailey his walks to do his business. I just walk back and forth...

This is the path I walk Bailey on the side of the house back and forth like a lion in a cage...lol

Hello lovelies

Wow @Mamabean it all looks so beautiful and serene there, your garden is so pretty and you have my favourite, Lily of the Valley. I often wonder what we would’ve done about Dottie, although we’re allowed to go out to exercise, it would mean lead walks with no opportunity for her to chase squirrels.

We’re not allowed to congregate more than 2 people @marcy, so no lifting in the park here. The Police are out at parks to stop the jerks flouting the social distancing rules.

I’m sure your artwork will cheer up everyone who walks by @Niffler75 , I’m sorry your little guy is getting anxious, it’s hard enough for us to deal with, so I’m not surprised.

Oh no @Tekate, I’m so sorry to hear that Kate, Mike & Auti are all unwell, hoping all will be well with them, I can imagine how worried you must be, but keep the faith.

I’m reminded of the song ‘Busy doing nothing’ @junebug17, do you know which one I mean? It’s surprising how the days are going by in a blur, even though we’re really not doing much, except trying to get through it.

@missy, I take it as good news that you don’t feel significantly worse, and yes, I think you’d definitely know if you were running a fever, so that’s a positive. That is such good news about your friend, and is very hopeful that the protocol has made such a difference to him. We’re looking forward to coming out the other side, and the opportunities we will have then to travel and meet up. Oliver looks huuuuuge compared to Gracie!

I got my steamer out today and used it all over the kitchen, and all the door handles, tomorrow I’m doing the rest of the bathrooms, whether it helps I don’t know, but it’s making me feel at least I’m doing something.

Lots of hopeful news here about companies stepping up and switching gear to produce ventilators and PPE of all types.

We’re fine here, weather not so good today, but we’re doing ok.

Wishing our our lovely NIRDIs good health, stay safe and well. :wavey:

Hi Friends and happy Monday! The weekend was so nice, I made the marinara sauce, lentil soup and cookies! I love spending the day cooking. It just doesn't feel like a Monday especially because I'm at home. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend :) I got to zoom with my twin nieces yesterday and that was really special. My parents say they are doing well so that is good. Masks for parents and hubby should arrive today.
I love seeing all the nature pics @missy @Mamabean @Jimmianne they really are beautiful and calming. And thank you so much for my ring compliments @junebug17 @marcy @missy and everyone. It really is calming to wear jewelry right now and still feel special even at home. Glad to hear you are not feeling worse Missy, hugs to you sweet friend.
And @Tekate I really hope your sweethearts feel better very soon.
Gotta get back to work. Hope everyone has a wonderful Monday!

@missy Good to hear good news! Everyone I know seems to be safe & sound, so IDN what the worse looks like ,(

I love spending the day cooking.

Ditto

There was a large camp fire in the backyard yesterday, @Tekate dealing with a mountain of rogue ivy; today, I'd freeze out there, camp fire etal. I do need a pinch every now & then to remember that this is office with a stew pot [the least distracting kind of cooking I know of so far.]

_

Do not ask where today went! Days are so short.

Hi NIRDI’s!

@junebug17 I am sure when hairdressers can go back to work they’ll be fixing a lot of haircuts. My style can grow without looking bad. I am pinning my bangs to the side anyway. I’m with you on long phone calls at night; 10 minutes is good then I’m ready to go. I like my TV shows too. I’ll have to try Zoom. I don’t like the angle of me from my lap on FaceTime; it’s looking up at me. Yuck. I am glad everyone is healthy and your days go by quickly.

@missy our parks are usually busier than that but not crowded. You can usually find a spot for yourself. Yes, you should rest at least a day between lifting muscle groups. My left shoulder, arm has something pinched that really flares up. Marty always says if something is sore just use the 15 pound bar and do a few of those lifts; I tried it today and about cried on rows; I quit after about 4 of them. I am sorry you aren’t feeling better today. What a relief your friend and colleague is getting better; I hope he continues to improve. Thank goodness they’ve figured out something that helps. Hi Greg rounding up the the kitties. How is his knee doing?

@Mamabean your yard and view is fabulous. Looks like a fabulous place to relax and enjoy the view.
@Austina Marty and his group definitely obeyed the 6 yard rule. Our parks aren’t too busy since we aren’t a big city. We have maybe 7 parks here in town and so far the parks aren’t closed. Good idea to steam things at your house. Our cleaning lady is coming tomorrow so everything should get wiped down and I’ll follow up after she leaves.

@bling_dream19 good idea to keep wearing your jewelry. I need to dig mine out tomorrow; I miss it but don’t miss cleaning it. Ha Ha.

@Tekate I hope Mike’s appointment online went well and that’s good Kate is better. I hope Auti gets over her cold. Yes, Marty’s clients that showed up really had a good time. He is still sending them programming for things to do at home.

@Calliecake I hope you and your family is doing well.

@AV_ an office with a stew pot; I like it. I enjoy being able to do dishes all day since I hate coming home from work to a mess in the kitchen. Shocking, I know!

My moaning minnie was driving me crazy today. She is very set in her ways and can't stand change. I messaged her for our one on one and she complained about how our biggest task is difficult now because with 3 people working remotely their events are not highlighted in the book. Really? How does she expect them to do that? She and another lady are still going in to the office so I said i would ask the other girl if she wanted the 2 of them to highlight everything for everybody. Of course the other lady sensibly said No. So I messaged the first lady and said we are no longer working as a group sharing documents so if she chooses to highlight them all she can but the other lady isn't doing it and i think it is a large task for her to take on herself. She always denies she is resistant to change.

I keep thinking of changing my current ring tone to the Twilight Zone. it's appropriate for the times.

My best friend from grade school through high school has been texting me all day. She just started texting last year. I heard from her once last year then not again until today. She must have had wine for breakfast; she was chatty.

Marty went and worked out at his gym today. I did dead-lifts in my little gym (96 pounds) woo hoo!

I had some jelly beans this afternoon. I ate them with a spoon. I didn't want to wash my hands more than I had to since they are raw.

Take care.

Hi Greg rounding up the the kitties. How is his knee doing?

I am sorry you have a pinched nerve or something similar in your left shoulder/arm. That is so painful Marcy. I hope it is better today. Smart of you to quit after the pain wasn't dissipating as you were lifting. Thanks for the good wishes for our friend and for us. Looks like the FDA just approved his treatment so that is hopeful though if they run out of anti malarial meds plus the other med combo that would be abysmal. Greg is doing OK re his knee thanks for asking. He is still doing the exercises given to him by the therapist though walking is something we really aren't doing right now. Hopefully we can resume that sooner vs later. Main thing is we all stay healthy right now for as long as we can.

I keep thinking of changing my current ring tone to the Twilight Zone. it's appropriate for the times.

I agree. I thought from the very beginning of this pandemic it felt just like The Twilight Zone in almost every way. Wish we would all wake up from this and resume life as we knew it before. One day we will be past this and hopefully we will be well and safe.

Sorry abut Moaning Minnie. What a pain in the you know what. It's hard enough right now and you don't need any Negative people making life harder.

LOL about your friend having wine for breakfast and texting up a storm. LOL whatever it takes. woohoo for deadlifting 96 lbs. I am so impressed. I am sorry your hands are so raw from washing them so much and smart idea to eat the jelly beans with a spoon. I love jelly bellies. Popcorn was my favorite flavor of Jelly belly. Did you ever have those? What is your favorite flavor? (((HUGS))).

@Tekate Kate the Great and wise and wonderful, I am so glad your family is holding strong. Please give us a Katie and Auti and Mike update. I hope they are better each day and that Kate's (and did Mike have one too?) fever is gone. Sending you so much love and healing vibes and big hugs. XOXO.

@bling_dream19 yay for cooking up a storm and yummm. Double yay for zooming with your twin nieces and so happy your parents are A OK and doing well. Hope work is going well. ((((HUGS)))).

@Keeliamira how are you doing? Sending you continued hugs and healing vibes. (((Hugs))).

@Slick1 good morning sweet friend. Hope yesterday was a good day and that all is well with your loved ones. Hugs and love.

@Scandinavian how is Furbaby's paw today? Hugs.

@Austina yes you are right. Oliver is HUGE compared to Gracie. He is all solid muscle. How is that fruit? I bet it is yummy. How are you guys holding up? It's been chilly and damp here and I think your weather might be similar. We are getting a warm up by the weekend. The days are all blurring into each other. Thanks for the continued good wishes. What a great idea to steam all the kitchen, bathrooms and handles etc. Smart. I never did check my temperature yesterday. Sometimes it takes too much energy when I know either way it won't make a difference for now. I am feeling the same...it's weird. I just hope whatever it is it isn't anything to worry about and will go away soon. Yesterday I talked with a good friend who is a physician and she said one can have Covid 19 without a fever. That was a surprise to me...but anyway we are all going to be OK right? No other option. Sending you good vibes and hugs.

@canuk-gal more hugs being sent your way. The virtual non germy kind lol. And continue to be safe and well. XOXO. Oh we are watching Handmaid's Tale on Hulu and everyone is trying to escape to Canada where people are still free. That is looking like a really good idea to me right now LOL.

@Mamabean I love your beautiful yard and peaceful view. And I cannot wait for your DH to get to you. I know how much you both miss each other. Hugs to you.

@Niffler75 how is your son doing today? Hope all is well and I am sending you comforting hugs and well wishes. How is Hershey doing with his thyroid meds?

@AV_ I am very happy for you that all is peaceful and well in your neighborhood and may it stay that way. I hope you never know what it is like to get bad news right now. Sending you good wishes and hugs.

@Daisys and Diamonds hello there Nicky. Hope you and your loved ones are well and in a good frame of mind. (((Hugs))).

@junebug17, @springerspaniel @Poodles4me @sarahb @OdetteOdile good morning/afternoon. Hope everyone is well and good and I am sending hugs your way.

@Jimmianne I smile when I think of you in your gorgeous garden enjoying peaceful days and fresh air. Hugs to you dear friend.

The days are all going into one another but today is Tuesday. I have to keep track because Tommy gets his thyroid meds twice a day on MWF and once a day on the other days. So that alone has to keep me on my toes lol.

Last night Oliver and Gracie were all over me as I was sleeping and as you can imagine it made for a not restful sleep. LOL. But it is comforting when they just lay by me and on top of me and we all sleep. Purring babies. Something comforting about that despite life as we know it right now.

Still taking it day by day moment by moment. Sending you all good thoughts and comforting hugs.

For your viewing pleasure a little montage of Gracie and Oliver playing yesterday. Hope you enjoy and hope it brings you some cheer.

Hello lovelies

@missy, I think it’s a good sign that your symptoms haven’t got any worse, you may not be feeling any better, but that’s a positive in my book. If you haven’t got a fever that’s good news too. I think we’re going to find that lots of people have had this, just didn’t have the typical symptoms. How cute that the kitties like cuddling up to you at night, even if they’re oblivious to the fact it’s not helping you sleep! One day at a time, even if everyday is just melding in to the next!

Sorry you’ve got problems with your shoulder @marcy, it sounds like you need to rest up to let it heal. Take the advice of your personal trainer, I hear he knows what he’s talking about :D Ugh to NN, even when she’s not in the same room, she’s still a pain.

@Tekate, I hope all the family are feeling better with each passing day, and it’s good news that Auti ‘just’ has a cold, I hope Mike got his online consult with the Dr and is reassured. Hope you and John are doing OK too, I know it’s hard worrying about your kids. We’re all fine, Adam and Kim are well and safe.

Hope you’re all ok @Scandinavian and furbaby’s paw is healing nicely.

@Niffler75 how’re things there, it’s lovely and bright, but cold, brrrrrr!

Glad you got to chat with your nieces @bling_dream19 isn’t technology wonderful? Yum to your latest cooking, all sounds delicious.:lickout:

Hi @Calliecake, how’re you doing? Are your parents OK, and your pregnant niece?

Glad things are relatively calm where you are @AV_ , ivy is amazingly strong, and takes a lot of shifting when it takes hold.

Hope you, David and your Mum and Bailey are all fine @Mamabean and enjoying your lovely garden.

Hi @junebug17 @canuk-gal @Daisys and Diamonds @OdetteOdile @sarahb @Poodles4me I hope you’re all well and coping with the current situation.

We had another delivery today, lots more fruit, and a few other bits and pieces, so all good here.

My friend phoned this afternoon, and we had a long chat, they’re fine, missing their kids visiting of course, but getting on with getting on and through this.

Stay safe and well lovely NIRDIs :wavey:

Hi everyone,

Today was one of 'those' days today where my body was not in the groove at all.
images.jpeg-6.jpg

So most of my day was careful furniture surfing from the sofa to the kitchen and back again!
We are ok here. One of my husbands work colleagues is pretty poorly with c19 and may have to go to hospital.
My son is a total trooper, being very brave but evenings are filled with anxiety for him! ::)
Hopefully tomorrow I will feel a bit more with it and reply to people who have sent best wishes, for which I am so grateful for lovely peeps! =)2
Take care everyone x

Hello everyone. I have my good days and bad days. I'm like everyone else, just worried about the unknown. I don't have to elaborate because we all have the same fears. I had a meltdown when I heard news reports coming out of New York and saw pictures of a field hospital being set up in Central Park.

K (hubby) went for groceries the other day and I was so anxious. He assured me he was careful and zoomed through the store. He has a routine of washing hands, wiping everything down and is super conscientious. We have a curbside pickup scheduled for this weekend but after that all the slots are taken for weeks. We've never had to plan for two or three weeks at a time before but we're learning.

K is forcing me to go for walks daily which I appreciate. He knows the fresh air and exercise will help my anxiety. I may skip the walk today as the wind is very strong and it will just aggravate my allergies. All the dead rotting leaves that were buried under the snow are not my friend. The rotting dog poop that people didn't pick up is not great either. I do have to say that most people are very good about cleaning up after their dogs but we had one neighbour (they moved earlier this year) who never picked up after her dog.

@missy - please continue to monitor your temperature.

I am loving the pictures of Gracie. She is such a little sweetheart. Those whiskers are amazing.

@Tekate - I hope your family is on the mend.

Sorry for not responding to everyone here but you know I am thinking about all of you and wishing you well.

@Poodles4me Glad you feel up to posting. I have a similar reaction to C19 news so have decided to restrict how much I look at media reports and just keep up to date with the essentials. Self care is so important! ;)2 Take care x

Hi NIRDI’s

@missy my arm has been flaring up for months; it has good days and bad. That is good the FDA approved that medicine for treatment; I haven’t heard there is a shortage of that. I get it is difficult for and Greg to get out for walks since it is so densely populated there. Glad to hear Greg is continuing his exercises. My sister is still faithful with her exercises and walking. She is retired from a hospital in Colorado and they got in boxes of masks with bad elastic so they asked her if she’d sew new elastic on them. She has 156 done already and needs more elastic. She drives up in front of the hospital and someone picks up what she’s done and gives her new masks and elastic for them. Pretty cool. I always get a bag of Smucker’s jelly beans at Easter. I like the orange the best. As for popcorn Jelly Belly beans that is really good. I like root beer, orange and peach as well. I hate to hear you aren’t feeling better. The symptoms I’ve read on CDC was the most common symptoms so they must vary. I had that really awful nasty cold / flu in early February and now I wonder if that is what I had. Great pictures of Gracie and Oliver playing. Sounds like you need to wake them up when they are napping so they sleep at night instead of waking you up.

@Austina my coach suggested I go do those lifts with just the 15 pound bar; it might even be from my pillow. Who knows; it’s bugged me since I started lifting. It’s strange how is can radiate so far in my back, shoulder and arm. Nice that you got more fruit today. I meant to eat a banana with supper but ended up with some ice cream. Oops. I’ll have it for breakfast tomorrow. Nice to catch up with your friend.

@Nifflier75 sorry to hear your body didn’t want to cooperate today. I hope you feel better soon. I hate to hear your husband has a colleague that is so sick. Sending both you and him mega dust.

@Poodles4me I hope you have more good days than bad. I send Marty to the store most of the time for the same reason; he can get in and out more quickly than I can. He however, is not a conscientious hand washer. I hope the wind settles down so you can get out for a walk.

Day 2 of the days blending together this week. My boss told me our company is planning another 10% layoff; don’t know how soon but I imagine this month. He didn’t discuss who was on the chopping block but hinted my 2 person team might have to help out my 3 person team more. Joy.

We ordered delivery for lunch; the restaurant is about 20 minutes away (the way I drive that is) so our food was kind of cold when we got it; 30 seconds in the microwave did wonders. I put out a big dish towel and put everything on top of it. Then used tongues to put our food on plates and bowls, then threw out the bag and containers and dumped the dish towel in the washing machine. I figure that was minimal exposure to anything.

Our cleaning lady was here today. I wiped off the front door handles after she left but she cleaned everything in the house with disinfectant and wore gloves.

I finished the April astronomy newsletter and will get it posted later.

Take care.
Marcy

@Austina Hi Austina, another delivery - so glad to read this. You sound good which is wonderful. Say hi to Colin.. xoxoxo

@missy Hola Missy the Marvelous, how are you feeling? Good I hope. My son, Auti and Kate are feeling very well so the trauma drama has passed for me and thank you always for asking. I'm glad Greg is still walking, it is tough in the city to keep the 6ft rule I'm sure. One day at a time, it's so unreal, surreal and like a Dada painting. We keep on going but it's so bizarre. sending you love.. xoxoxoxo

@Poodles4me Hello P4Me! I hope you continue your walks and I understand the fears etc.. I fall into the over 60, ex smoker, overweight with controlled HBP, so I'm sorta up to bat! my son's get upset if they think I am going out, My husband goes out if we have to, our older son, who's local, buys our groceries and we pay him back, so we are pretty much taken care of. Please don't worry too much, I try not to. My family are all doing well and thank you for asking! xoxo

@marcy I'm sorry about your arm :( I'm due for a shoulder replacement I'm pretty sure, I've had 4 steroid shots in the last 2 years and after a while you can't get anymore so for now I just live with it. Tired of it but live with it. Why is your company expecting layoffs? Very unfortunate in this time. Such a sad time. My son's company 'said' they won't be doing layoffs but he and I both agree that could change in a nano, he's sick of the job anyway, he'd rather be laid off :) Get to read you finished the astronomy article. Be well, jealous you have a cleaning service... someday... in the far far future! have a good rest of the week! xoxox

@Jimmianne sending you cool hugs and vibes.. think ALL your posts are perfect. xoxoxox

GM lovely ladies! It's wonderful (I hope) Wednesday.

@Austina that is sweet you received more fruits and vegetables re delivery. So pleased you can get deliveries and stay safely inside. Finally the sun has popped out today and after a few days of no sun it is a welcome occurrence. Glad you enjoyed a nice phone call with your friend yesterday. My girlfriend from Canada called me and we had a nice long chat. She is located on a remote island and she said for them nothing has changed. They usually stock up on food in the winter because the ferry often doesn't run so they are all well and good and there are no Covid cases by them. I am relieved for them. She is worried for NY as we all are and of course I am concerned for everyone here. Stay safe and stay well. Sending you and your family lots of love and hugs.

@missy my arm has been flaring up for months; it has good days and bad. That is good the FDA approved that medicine for treatment; I haven’t heard there is a shortage of that. I finished the April astronomy newsletter and will get it posted later.

How is your arm today @marcy? My back is hurting...a sharp pain. Hope it just a pulled muscle and not a vertebral fracture. It is common to get a fracture without knowing it in the vertebrae. So of course you know where my mind is going because of my OP. I am currently typing this while leaning on a heating pad against my back.

My podiatrist texted me yesterday afternoon checking in with me and asking how Greg's knee was doing and how I am doing. Turns out he was also letting me know he is completely shut down and I was afraid to ask what if I have a problem so I didn't. Greg is confident if I do have a problem with my toe he would be there for me but what if he cannot be there for me? So I had some anxiety about that for a few minutes but got over it. One day at a time. I hate to hear Marty doesn't wash his hands a lot but he will probably be fine. He is strong and healthy and hopefully will remain that way. Great your cleaning lady was there yesterday. We daren't let anyone in to our apartment. NYC is rampant with Covid 19. Another reason to live out in the rural areas for sure. When should we come over?

Sweet you finished the April astronomy newsletter. And nice you ordered lunch out.
I am sorry your boss is planning more layoffs. I worry too about Greg's job. This is vaguely reminiscent of 2008/9 and we all know how much that hurt. This time Greg is much older so not sure there would be another opportunity for him to reinvent himself. Oh well. I cannot worry about everything and am taking it one day at a time.

Wonderful your sister is helping the hospital with fixing the masks. I love hearing that. And good for her continuing her exercises and walking.

@Mamabean Happy 2 year anniversary! I never notice these things. @Tekate thank you Great Kate for recognizing this and for all you and Joanne do here. Your warmth and love and kindness and generosity make PS and NIRDI a safe and wonderful place to be. (((HUGS)))
And Joanne that soup meal you made for your family looks so yummy.
Speaking of Yummy Oh your new ring is TDF Gorgeous and yummy to the max! I hope you are swooning over it. :kiss2:

@Tekate Great Kate I am so happy all your family is well. How long did Katie have a fever? Does she think she had Covid 19? What about Mike? Sorry for all my questions it's just I am trying to gauge what I might have. I feel about the same...maybe a little better but I am not sure as it varies throughout the day. I woke up in the middle of the night and my throat was hurting for the first time vs just being fuzzy but now it is not hurting so it must have just been dry. Hugs to you Kate the Great and hugs to John. Hope you are doing well and feeling good now that your loved ones are A OK. (((HUGS))).

Dear @Poodles4me thanks for checking in here with us. You are on my mind. I feel the same. Tears well up when I see the field hospitals they are making all over. It is an uncertain and scary time but we are here for each other however we can be and sending you so much love and support and warm hugs. I am glad your DH is enjoying walks with you. It is good for the soul and mind and body. I hear you about not everyone being considerate and cleaning up after their dogs. A few people ruin it for everyone including animals and kids. It's always the adult humans who are the ones at fault. Anyway glad most people are conscientious. Hugs to you and stay well. (((HUGS))). And thanks for the links. Cannot wait to watch them and have happy tears and a few smiles too.

@Niffler75 I am glad your son is doing better and a bit less anxious. I am sorry about your DH's colleague and hope he makes a turn around and is OK. Sending you lots of hugs and well wishes. (((HUGS))).

@bling_dream19 how are you guys doing? Any pretty new bling updates?

@Slick1 how goes it by you? Thinking of you and your family and sending lots of healing vibes and warm hugs and lots of love. XOXO.

@Scandinavian please let us know how Furbaby's paw is and how everyone by you is doing. (((HUGS))).

So we stayed in again yesterday and played cards. I think you all can guess who won lol. The days continue to go quickly and that is OK. Gracie and Oliver continue to entertain and amuse us and the kitties are all OK thank goodness.

Gracie is a determined kitty when it comes to playing lol.

Oliver started playing first

Morning friends! How is everyone doing?
@marcy that sky is just beautiful! I really hope you and Marty's job is secure.
@missy I just hope you're feeling better each day and that Greg's job is secure. Your kitties are just so cute! And your poem soo sweet.
The economics of this had me not sleeping well last night. My hubby's mask somehow has not arrived so he's out again today with no mask. He is wearing a baklava full head black mask thing so its something or he could rob a bank lol.
@Tekate glad to hear your crew is getting better. And soo sweet of your son to get your groceries. I hope your other son is ok. You are a really good mom.
@Mamabean happy anniversary! How is Ashlee? She is beautiful! Love your soup and your beautiful pics of your outdoors.
@Austina glad you are getting the food you need! We are out of fresh veggies and eating our frozen but hubby will go to Costco tomorrow and stock us up again.
Yesterday was my 14 days of not going anywhere besides neighborhood walks. And I'm not suffering! I am really enjoying being home. Just gotta get rid of this financial worry and getting sick worry.
Hugs to all and sending love and health and sparkles for a great day!

Dear @bling_dream19 I am sorry you are not sleeping well from all the worry. And I am sorry your DH's mask has not yet arrived. Sending you big hugs and good vibes and lots of love. Praying for all of us and hopefully we will all be OK eventually economically and that we stay well or get well easily if we should get sick. I am so glad the silver lining in this for you is enjoying being at home and walking daily. That doesn't suck. I do share the health worry and financial worry with you. More on the health front but the financial worry does exist for me too. I think others misinterpreted my post in another thread and it is interesting to see the pack mentality at work at times just by who likes what posts. LOL at least it gave me a chuckle during a challenging time. We truly are in this together. No one is going to be unscathed but I have faith we will eventually all be OK. No other option right? Girl, I am sending you lots of love and big (((HUGS))).

Hello lovelies

@missy, I have been waking up so dry that sometimes I think my mouth is stuck shut! I don’t know why this is happening now. I’m sorry things are so uncertain for you and Greg, please keep thinking positive thoughts, both about your health and Greg’s job. He is a very resourceful man, and has many talents. They are building field hospitals here too, and I’m choosing to think of it in terms of them being ahead of the problem, rather than behind it. Hopefully, all these extra thousands of beds won’t be needed, but if they are, they’re ready.

Glad to see that Gracie isn’t intimated by Oliver and is holding her own on the game front. They really do seem to be getting along well, and their friendship is so sweet. Hopefully this means that Oliver isn’t bothering the elderly gents any longer.

We’re all good @Tekate, hope your gang are improving daily and your worries about them have lessened.

Hope you’re feeling better today @Niffler75, I’m sorry the evenings are proving so stressful for your little guy.

That’s bad news about the layoffs @marcy, hopefully your jobs will be still be secure when all this is over. Wow, you’re really ahead of the game with your April newsletter already done. Yay to having a lovely clean house.

I’ve seen the videos of the miniature schnauzer @Poodles4me, I’ve sent them to my friend as she has 2, a black and a white one. I’m sorry you’re feeling so anxious, it’s totally understandable, I felt really rattled last week, but now we’ve had some deliveries, I’m feeling a lot more calm. We’re only watching the Govt daily update here, it’s factual, no sensationalising or hysteria, and I’m finding it reassuring to hear the figures rather than the wild hypotheses of how this will pan out.

That’s good news that you’re up to day 14 of no outside contacts, you should be fine now. I’m sorry I can’t do anything about your financial worries, the sooner we get through this, the better. It’s going to have a huge impact on everyone’s economy, but thing will eventually begin to improve.

HI @Mamabean, hope all is well there. How did the visit with your husband go, I bet he was really pleased to see you all again.

There was an interesting article in the paper yesterday. I’m not sure whether it was something that was done in the States, but from 1954 to 2005, we had routine BCG vaccinations against TB. They’re now saying that this could’ve given us some immunity to CV, as it can last up to 60 years. I think it mentioned that they’re going to start running clinical trials in Australia, as it’s a simple and cost effective vaccine.

Our meat delivery from Scotland arrived earlier, so we’re fully stocked now, and the stress levels have gone down considerably.

Big shout out to all the lovely NIRDIs, hope you’re all keeping well and safe, and not stressing too much. :wavey:

Hi everyone,

We are ok here, getting out for daily walks and trying to adapt to the new normal.
@missy I am pleased Greg's knee is ok and that Gracie is settling in well. J really enjoy seeing your cat photos! Hershey is turning into grumpy cat, refusing all treats (with her thyroid meds in) and spitting the tablet out. I think we will have to look at liquid meds for her!
@Austina Glad your food delivery arrived. We have resorted to twice weekly shops and have not got a cat in hells chance of delivery here.
@marcy Sorry about your shoulder. Pain is no fun to deal with at the best of times, let alone with all this other stuff going on too. I find heat pads or a soak in the bath the best thing for me!
@Tekate Glad it sounds like everyone is on the mend! Thanks for keeping us in your thoughts. Your messages are really appreciated!
@Mamabean Hi, hope you are ok. Sending warm wishes to you and your family.
@Jimmianne @Poodles4me @Scandinavian @Daisys and Diamonds you are all in my thoughts.

Will check in a big later. Take care everyone x

@Niffler75 I am sorry Hershey is being less than enthusiastic about taking his thyroid meds. Have you tried the tuna pill pockets? Tommy just goes crazy for them. Let me find them to link for you.

Here you go.

Alternatively you can try this.

Good luck and hugs.

@Austina yay for your meat delivery! So glad you guys are well stocked and safely at home. Interesting info about the TB vaccine. Thanks for sharing.

@missy Good morning Missy the most marvelous! :) Michael had a on screen meet with a physician and his symptoms were not Covid19, now Kate, she felt really tired, sore throat and fever and was better in 2 days, she could have had Covid19, Chris is ensconced in his room in Clinton Hill and I've not been able to find anywhere that has a breadmaker, my latest order was cancelled by Amazon (again), but he was able to find bread at the chinese deli! he has no mask but I sent him a tutorial on how to make a mask out of an old tshirt and if there is ONE thing that man has - it's old tshirts (he's my FRUGAL son the other is spendaholic son). So Kate is much better and my guess is she did have a mild case, she had a fever for only 1 day, sore throat, Danny is in the city and hanging with his family. All is good. We are waiting for Cara to bring our groceries today and then we are going up to the lot and sit, I'll take some more pis and post them tonite. not much else new here dear girl! hugs to Greg I'm so glad he had his operation before this mess we are in.. and Missy, I am sure also that your podiatrist will be there for you.. besides being your doc he's your friend.. kids look wonderful, they are beautiful.. love to you girl always. xoxoxo

@bling_dream19 Hi BD19!!! Thank you for your kind words! sending you sparkles (i love that I'm gonna steal it from now just so you know, but I give you the rights to say no if you want!!)... happy sparkles, love sparkles, healthy healthy sparkles and love sparkles! (when I was a kid back back then I loved anything with sparkles!). xoxoxox and BD the money thing is scary for sure, we have lost money, and as I'm in the midst of getting ready to build a house - I get nightmares.. :) I send you a hug.

@Austina Hi Austina! meat delivery from Scotland? so cool. Nice day here, slightly cool but we are getting warmer. House plans are pretty much finished we are waiting on something (can't remember) then we will give to the builder and we shall see what he comes in at, if it's redic I will contact build on your lot at david weekly homes, we had a Weekly home in Austin and it was well made. sending you sparkles! and love :) xoxoxo

@Niffler75 Good morning (here anyway).. have a wonderful day sweetie.

@missy I always like all your posts :) all the time. :)

Girls did anyone send me a friend request on Facebook? I don’t know who this is but she/he has a dog avatar so I’m thinking it’s possibly someone from PS...

Please LMK if you know who because I don’t accept requests from strangers.

@Tekate (((hugs))) great Kate the wonderful and wise. I am so glad & relieves your family is on the mend!!

As for the other issue it just sometimes feels like high school never ended if you kwim. I just try to ignore any pettiness. We’re all human. And people are understandably stressed. I let it roll off me.

((((Hugs)))) and love to all the wonderful and warm NIRDIs. ❤️❤️❤️

No change here. Furbaby is healing but slowly. No one is coughing. Everybody is staying in their own house.
Did a long drive today. Getting internet at the summer house tomorrow and didn’t want to interact lol. So drove down there and left a key somewhere lol. Home again now. So now it is “working from home” time. Again. Days are a bit blurry these days I think.

How are you all doing? Missy, still snotty (pun intended)? Marcy, any better? And how is your family Tekate? Austina, I really envy you that meat lol, the shops are not sold out, just poor quality as always. Think old milk cows...

Sorry to hear you’re not getting good quality food @Scandavian, all the beef is grass fed and free from AB’s, so should be really tasty. Glad little Furbaby is on the mend and you’re all ok.
