Not even off my cold, lifeless fingers...my new 4.01 ACA in DK custom

So I have a very long thread collating all my DK projects from over the last 5 months, but this one deserves a thread of its own.

It's not quite finished - it still needs some shoulder wraps and some milgrain - but to all intents and purposes, this is my new DK custom ring with my 4.01 I VS1 ACA.

I probably won't have it until the end of next week, but it's wonderful to have some photos!

Yummy, in every sense!!! That taper is PERFECTION! The gold and its finish is MOUTHWATERING! And the whole presence is absolutely DIVINE!!!!!

Thanks @yssie - I'm so glad you were able to see it first.

It's really not too shabby, is it? I know a halo is a halo is a halo - but the workmanship on this is just sublime. This was done by DKJ's uber-bench and I truly can't see a fault in it. The basket repeats the holly motif , and of course I have the holly leaves at the back as well - just to make it a tiny bit different.

And it's sturdy, too, which I love - without looking at all heavy. I'm thinking of ditching the milgrain and just doing the wraps, but we'll see where I land by the time we finish. I'm also doing a holly wedder to go with it, so I'll see what I think matches best and inch forward slowly.

Thank you for your kind comments. I think this one is going to be a show stopper! And as for staring into my jewelry box - I do look at it from time to time, but the vast majority of the time I wear what I'm wearing now - or some iteration of it; 18kt, solid, rose gold hoops (custom made for me by DKJ), Astor Ideal E VS1 .63ct stud in my outer hole, heavy comfort fit plain domed band by e-weddingbands, and a solid rose gold bangle, also by DKJ. It's simple, but it's classy (in my opinion), and the quality of the pieces is high - which I like very much.

Bit like your earrings, really! Love them.

Thanks, @Kaycee2018 - I agree! I think the workmanship in the halo is superb. I've mentioned before that DKJ has recently added a couple of micro pave specialists, and their workmanship is just sublime.

@foxinsox - thank you! That honker is really NOT too shabby, agreed! I still have some bells and whistles to add, to make it more 'mine', but the slow work (the pave setting) is done, so I'm hoping it's fast from here.

That is the perfect size halo for your stone...a beautiful accent but lets that ACA be the star! Lovely gallery and I love that you repeated the holly on the shank! I can't wait to see it again after you add your final elements!

Thanks, my friend! I had your voice IN MY HEAD when I was picking the halo (1/2 pt stones)! And I know we are as one re platinum prongs. I really like the way the little tab claws came out, don't you? They keep the stone a bit more anchored, without being too large.

Side wraps and milgrain still to come. Don't suppose you know of a thread on wraps, do you? I can't find anything.

I do not know of a thread on wraps. Are you wanting all metal wraps or diamond wraps? I might have some pictures. And is this the kind of wraps we are talking about (not this exact style, of course)? This one is a plain double wrap. You can start a new thread on Rocky Talky for wrap designs to avoid cluttering up this thread, if you'd like. I am sure I have more styles.

Yes - that type. What I'm specifically looking for is low profile versions of it. I could have reverse wraps, but I actually want one that protrude - just not too much.
