No Map of Diamond in GIA Report?

I recently bought a diamond that has a GIA certificate. The certificate states that this G/VVS2 Asscher stone has a feather, but there is no indication on the report just where the feather is. It this common to find on a GIA certificate that a stone has not been mapped? Out of curiosity I would like to know where the feather is. I have been unable to locate it with a 10x loupe.

thanks!

Its VVS2 so it will be very small and difficult to find with a loupe if your not trained, a microscope could be easier for you to find , a feather will come in from the girdle so look around there

Thanks. It helps to know both that the feather in a VVS2 is tiny, and to have a clue where it might be located! It would certainly have helped if GIA had added a map.
The search goes on...

sorry i forgot to mention that the feather would most likely come in from the girdle , start your search there.

GIA Dossiers are common under 1 ct.

Ask your jeweler to show it to you as a vvs2 feather isn't easy to find with a 10X loupe. The report you have is likely the Dossier report or e-report. Plots are not shown for such reports.

Thanks, everyone. I had not heard of a dossier report before. So all is well in my little Asscher World tonight ... and I'm sure the feather will stay put until I can get to a microscope to see what it looks like.
