I was on the Big Island too last year too. I think I was in Maui in 03. Funny. When did you go to the Big Island last year? Where did you stay?

I went in the summer and stayed at the Four Seasons Hualalai. What about you?

I walked to the bottom of where the black sand stream runs. Some man told me as I was walking down; he didn't think I would make it. I told my husband to hurry up because we were going to the bottom even if there was a TON of MUD! I don't let strangers tell me what to do. heeheee. I was glad we hiked to the bottom even if we had mud up to our ankles; it was gorgeous. Plus it was like a mini spa treatment for our feet.

You put us to shame. We''re lazy vacationers, so we hardly left the resort except for food.

Like I said when we go on vacation we are up by 6am especially in Hawaii cuz the sun is bright at that time and then we are in bed by 11pm. Hubby and I are always going going going except when we snorkle. We do it for HOURS! Then I am sea sick from the motion of the waves.

I guess we want to see and do all that we can. My husband sometimes wishes we would just relax but when we get there we can't. I always have an agenda planned and hubby likes it that way. heehee

My favorite restaruants on the Big Island are Keei Cafe in Kona and Roys in the Hilton. Yummy! I can't wait to eat at Roy's in Kauai and they have one in Pebble Beach, CA too (which we loved also).

I don't know if you will see this but, wow, Todd English. That is so awesome your sister in law was taught to cook by Todd English!!!! I love Olives in Las Vegas and DC. Yummy!!! Wow exciting and wonderful

yes, I guess you guys gotta sit down and discuss it. That is the hard thing about relationships. Maybe you guys could make a budget and set some goals. I think that will steer both of you in the right direction. I am sure you guys do well but it just helps a little IMO.

You won''t regret your decision Harriet. You have a terrific itinerary there and as you said it is something for both of you to enjoy and remember. We have taken many wonderful cruises and we really like the smaller ships. We will be doing a European cruise ourselves for nearly three weeks in celebration of our anniversary in June. I haven''t sailed on Oceania, but I have read wonderful things about the line. Have you checked out cruisecritic.com? It is the pricescope of cruising. Bon voyage!
