Is that even corundum?

It looks more like the bitten off tip of a crayon.

Wow. I''m in harcore lurking mode, but I had to sign in to comment on that. And now that I''ve signed in... I''m speechless. Harriet is right. It does look more like chewed candy than anything else, to me.

I am left speechless and not in a good way.

((vomits quietly in corner))

Check out the "yellow-blue" sapphire on that site. It looks like glycerin soap to me.

At least it''s listed as included. I''ve seen stones like that list on ebay as IF!

It''s opaque!

Oh My............................

Now I was just looking for a cheap sapphire...

But, it's untreated fish gravel.

Actuallly, I've seen much worse in the way of corundum on ebay, at least it's transparant. LOL!

I know, some stuff I''ve seen in the past looks like a chunk of 3 day old milk

I was going to bid on it until I saw all these comments.

The good news is that you can be reasonably sure it is indeed "natural and untreated".

Does anyone know what is dollar-to-rupee exchange ratio? Maybe today I can snatch another deal of the century.

Oh, erm... I''m sure it just needs a good polish

5 minutes in the steam cleaner it will be good as new.

Translucent...transparent means you can clearly see through it...translucent means light can pass through...looks like this was cut by a jewler with parkinson while he was busy and using a steak knife and fork to accomplisy the task...painful...

No I think you do not understand...It is hand-carved. Looked at his store, he sells lot of hand-carved amethysts...same quality, same master. It is "in".

That is one ugly stone.

Even with its modest asking price, I wonder if anyone will bid on this monster.

That's one stone that SHOULD have been treated....with all treatment options possible! Yikes!

This topic should really be labelled "NSFW"...

Heh, that''s exactly what I was going to say.

I dunno how you guys find these amazing rocks. I''m just bad at eBay, I guess -- I only ever find the run-of-the-mill super Photoshopped ones.

I can see through it, it''s just heavily included.

It sure looks like corundum to me, albeit poor quality! What do you expect for less than 50 American dollars???

HAHAHAHAHHA!
Actually, the stones that are used for be-treatment are uglier than that one. They''re not even blue. They look like dirty gravel.
