Howdy,
I am trying to buy studs that are around 1.2 tcw and .6 cw for each stud.

I dont need crazy color or clarity. I was thinking J, I color and SI2, SI1 clarity.

I am only looking at GIA stones.

I found these on blue nile for $3,000.

Each stone scored below a 1.4 HCA score and I think this is as close to super ideal cut I can find in my price range.

Thoughts. Any other suggestions.

I am open to any and everything.

Personally, I would go with the super ideals.

Because they will have more brilliance and fire?

My understanding is the angles of the cut are important with light return. Doesn’t always mean you will have a hearts and arrows stone, but it will have ideal cut, right?

I don’t have an ideal scope or ASET scope and Blue Nile doesn’t provide those images.

What will be the difference between those blue Nile stones and the white flash super ideals?

I have WF ACA studs. Because of what was available at the time, one is a J, the other a K. I thought I would upgrade the K to another J when one became available. I struggle to tell which is which so I never have upgraded the K. I feel very blessed to be both color insensitive and tolerant, lol!

For what it is worth, for earrings, I personally am ok with stones that are lower color and not perfect. I don't have many modern stones, but my earrings are mrb. It wasn't important to me to have super ideal and maybe I am odd. I just wanted something that looked nice. The stones I picked had fine hca scores and were both j color. It's all what is important to you.

Thanks. So why would people buy from blue Nile, when those stones I selected have potential, but there is no way to verify as they don’t provide ideal scope or ASET images.

Any clue how many stones that are Gia triple excellent and have solid proportions actually have symmetrical hearts and arrows?

Because people don’t even know enough to ask. Because people aren’t lucky enough to stumble across Pricescope. Because people don’t care as long as the paper shows GIA 3x. And I’m so sorry I don’t know about 3x having hearts and arrows. For better or worse you know that you don’t know a lot. Now that you have the questions to ask, it may help you focus your search. I would definitely recommend AGS stones for your search. Good luck!

Looks good enough to me and they'll perform just fine. Nice find. ;)2

Is white flash, Brian Gavin James Allen and enchanted diamonds the best place to buy stones online with ASET and ideal scope images?

Here are some vendors that provide ASETs. There may be more.

Superideal vendors: all super nice and easy to work with. Check their varying upgrade policies. THey differ.
Whiteflash
Brian Gavin
Victor Canera
Good old gold
High performance diamonds

Non super ideal
James Allen upon request (I think)
ID Jewelry - call or email them. Their website is limited but their service is great

I don’t know about enchanted diamonds. Never paid much attention.

Everyone raves about whiteflashs upgrade policy for their aca stones for a reason: you just have to spend 1$ more and will be credited 100% of your purchase price. This basically means that you can upgrade size any time, but ALSO gives you complete peace of mind that if you're not OK with any characteristic of a stone down the road (tint from the side, an inclusion, a specific way it performs = many people cannot unsee those once they have noticed for the first time) you'll have complete freedom to change this.
People seem to upgrade studs very often (even if they think they'll never want to, initially). So I think WF just makes sense for studs, personally.

if you never plan to upgrade, BN is fine. If you do want to one day, go with Whiteflash. I have .66ct each J VS2s and thought maybe I'd upgrade the color or size one day. Not sure I ever will because they're just so dang perfect.

Is BN upgrade policy not as good because you have to spend 2X your money when you do want to upgrade?

Yes, with BN you have to spend double the original amount. WF only requires $1 more than the original purchase to upgrade. But oftentimes an upgrade is double anyway, especially when purchasing larger stones.

Gosh you got those so quickly! Perfect on you!

Wow! That was fast. Are you happy with your choice? (it sounded a little underwhelmed...??)
I think they look perfect on your lobes.
guess these look okay.

Are these the BN stones from the first post? They look lovely!

Thanks. Yes, I went with the blue nile stones.
