New setting

Hello all it has been years since I visited this site and have just recently thought of upgrading my setting. Should I also upgrade my diamond? Also since I am out of the loop here (hope I am posting in the proper area) Do you guys recommend a place to find a new setting at a good price? I just love Tacori and Verragio settings. Would going to a place like Robbins brothers be a mistake? Thanks in advance.

Sorry for the blurry pic but this is all I could manage. I would like a larger stond, but thought I can give the illusion of a larger stone with a halo setting or would it just be better to get a whole new stone entirely? Sorry for rambling

Hi, your ring is very pretty! Is your diamond from a jeweler that allows upgrades? If so, I'd probably go ahead and upgrade the stone a little before spending the money on resetting. Even going to .85-.95 will give you a little more size even if you go with a halo!

I think you should look at the rings locally since you know you are interested in specific designer settings. But where you buy depends on where you bought your diamond and whether you are going to upgrade.
