Hi all!
I want to say thank you for all your very informative posts here. I wanted to get a nice and simple solitaire pendant to wear 24/7, and researching here has helped me find my first GIA certified diamond pendant!
Sorry for the bad photo quality. I tried many times and could never get a good photo of it. At least with this one i can see the cute little arrows :D . Its 0.41ct F VVS2. Im very happy. Yippie! And very grateful too!

I have some questions though. Where i live the jewellers don’t seem to have many good quality loose diamonds right now, especially in small sizes. I know some of them are dropshippers and their diamonds are actually still in the US and they said shipment was delayed because of covid-19. But even the big ones only have a few in the size I wanted (0.33-0.4ct). Is diamond stock low right now? Is it because of covid-19 affecting the mines production or because there is not much diamonds left that can be mined? I am thinking of getting another one but the diamond has to be custom cut in Belgium. Do you think with this covid-19 situation its safe to order a diamond from overseas? I have not decided yet because i am worried if the borders are closed, i might not get my diamond . Or i receive it a loooong time after I ordered it that i forgot i ordered it :D

1. For every 1 diamond cut in Belguim there are 10,000,000 cut in India so good luck with that
2. Yes, smaller diamonds are harder to get because the cutters have been closed.
3. mining continues and miners cant sell because cutters cant cut

Lovely diamond. You captured its beauty very well.

Garry, wow! I never knew India’s diamond industry is bigger than Belgium. All the shops I went to never mentioned India. The diamond i wanted is one of those diamonds with more arrows and facets than the usual round brilliant. Well, thats another reason to visit India then.
I see...Sad situation everywhere... :(. I hope things will improve for the miners and cutters soon..

Flyingpig, thank you very much! I wish i could see its fire more often. I love fire. Funny that the best place to see its fire so far was inside tunnels. But of course I couldn’t enjoy it properly because i was driving :D

Off topic apology in advance!

When I was looking for a suitable vendor for an EC diamond, PS led me to Diamondhouse in Antwerp, and I selected my EC in person out of 3 that were brought in by the owner of the company to show me, based on my budget.

I was informed at the time by him that the cutting of all 3 stones shown to me were excellent as they were cut locally in Antwerp.

I had no reason not to believe him, as all 3 stones were very sparkly and full of life according to my untrained eyes.

DK :))

Crafted by Infinity stones are cut in Belgium, IIRC... :))

Oh yes, I forgot about CBI!

DK :))

If we ever get to have a UK GTG in real life without turning into zombies :D then you'll get to see my good lady's small but mighty CBI! :))

No need to apologise DK. I would love to shop for diamonds in Antwerp one day :)
