I am always wondering how do these folk ever get a job again ... despite the obvious: that the best way for the latest employer to let the man go, would be to send him off with perks & cudos

The easy answer? They havent been caught and so there isn't anything for a prospective employer to see. They get let-go for other, job-related issues. When your side-gig is being a lowlife, you probably aren't far from that in performing the duties of your primary gig.

Me, too. These guys just wanted big, low-hanging fruit. Random people, kids, meth heads, could easily add property destruction to all that's already happened. Outside of breaking the front door sidelight glass and the stocking holders they swiped into the floor while taking the wall-mounted TV, they didn't leave much of a trace.

Well, good news! I have to say, I am RIDICULOUSLY impressed with Farmers' service up to this point. I really expected the "cost + small insurance markup" valuation to be a total lowball, but they came back with a cash-to-me amount of $9,485.55 for just the engagement ring (simple white gold band, so not much value there).

Now, I need some help finding the perfect stone. Find me a better one! Let's go GIA this time as not to cause any sneers in the future.
