I'm just start learning about diamonds and Im a newbie.
Can someone explain whats the difference of brigthness, brilliance and white sparkle.
And I always wonder why the diamond will turn fire/color lights only under Led or torch ligth...
Your answers are much aprreciated.
Thank you

I believe your question is answered here:

Let me know if there is something that you require further explanation of.

As for the single light source to specifically view fire, I'm a bit hazy on my physics but I believe it is due to the optical effect of color diffraction (spreading) when light passes through certain mediums (think rainbow prism)

Fire is still present when shined with multiple light sources but there's alot of "white noise" and our eyes get "drowned" from too much light.

....and, even terrible diamonds look good in showroom lights. If you are looking IRL, get the diamond away from the cases and into indirect, natural light (if possible).

Brigthness , Brilliance, White sparkle and fire all of this effect you see in the diamond is due to the Ligth interaction.
Without ligth all of this your diamond is just only a material. Just imagine put the diamond on the dark room and no light at all.Do you think it will shine. No rigth? So all of this is because of the ligth.:mrgreen2:

White sparkle is the white flashes that you see in the diamond under diffuse light, the more white light sparkle make your diamond so bright and thats the brightness.
Brilliance are the balance of brigthness and contrast of the diamond.

Why it makes fire this is due to the interaction between the diamond facets and the white sprkle of the diamond.
