Need help with diamond

GOG has recently recommended this diamond to me: http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/9833/

They are backing it with lifetime warranty because of the cut quality. Can the experts take a look and let me know if indeed it has excellent cut? HCA tool shows that it doesn't have the best cut.

Beautiful stone! You don't need the HCA when you have all those tests that GOG does!

I feel like I'm just following DS around and agreeing to everything she says , but I do agree. GOG puts there stones through the ringer when it comes to evaluating them for performance. I would have complete faith in anything Jonathon recommended. If you're still questioning the purchase though, you could request that he make a video for you. GOG's video as the next best thing to actually having the stone in front of you. Looking forward to hearing what you decide. How will you set the stone? Is this for an engagement ring?

Thanks for the recommendation but I am only considering round @ 1.75ct range at this time. The setting i am considering is the Novo replica from GOG.

I am also considering another 1.77ct round from JA. Will post idealscope images as soon as I receive them.

Yes, make sure that you post the IS image. It will help us give a final opinion for you. Also make sure that you are comparing the stones dimensions as opposed to relying solely on the stones weight. Depending on the diamonds proportions and depth the face up size of the stone can vary greatly. A 1.75 can look either larger or smaller than another 1.75, and sometimes a stone with a smaller ct weight will face up larger than a stone with a larger ct weight, so it's important to look at the dimensions. I love the Novo, your ring is going to be beautiful, looking forward to seeing what you decide!
