SOLD 1.58 GIA XXX G VS1 and Vatche Tiffany repro setting

Because I have two diamonds and need to sell one for other projects, I am listing my 1.58 G VS1 GIA XXX diamond for sale. It is in a Vatche U-113 Tiffany Repro setting. The diamond is beautiful and was evaluated by Jonathan at Good Old Gold and it has ideal light performance! It has strong blue fluorescence which is beautiful if you happen to have a UV light! Otherwise, it has no negative affect on the stone. The ring is only a few months old and is in excellent condition, and with a light polish, the setting would appear new. It is size 5.5 and can be resized.

Asking price for the diamond alone is $16,500 and $1200 additional for the setting (which was over $1800 just a few months ago).

If I was due for an upgrade I'd buy this in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, I most likely have to wait at least another 10 years I'm sure it will go quickly DS!!

I have missed you, ON!!! I have wondered sooo much about whether you had set your stone!

I love my setting and the stone is beautiful, but I have fallen in love with an AVR that is a little larger! I'd reuse the setting except the new stone wouldn't fit this one. I haven't decided about a setting for the new stone (and I am still deciding between a couple of stones). I may do the Vatche setting again or I may go with an antique style setting if I keep the current ring.

I did sell my other diamond, so I may keep this one. I guess two diamond rings isn't too many!

Yes!!! Just last week. I listed this one because that one had not sold yet. So as soon as I listed this one, the other one sold! So I have the money waiting at GOG until I have decided on an AVR!

Haven't decided what to do about this one so I am still taking offers.

DS do an RB three stone with this diamond. I see no reason to sell this one for less than full retail only to buy another smaller RB at full retail! And a three stone with this amazing diamond and the central stone would be amazing.

I did set it (finally!) in the same Vatche setting as yours.

And as a bonus, DH went with me to meet Yekutiel and bought me a lovely 7ct. radiant fancy yellow eternity band to wear with it and my original wedding band. He said it was a "belated" push present (30 plus years later)! He also said that he liked the way it made my 4.34 ct. look so white.

I promised Yekutiel I would post pictures, but have been swamped at work (which keeps me in all things that sparkle), and with helping my daughter plan her wedding. Now that you know, I will definitely try to pull the camera out over the long weekend and post the shots in SMTB.

Thanks, Dreamer and Laila, too! I think you are right that it would make a beautiful 3 stone ring. Then I would have a roughly equal in value diamond ring to leave each daughter. So I am strongly thinking about this option.

What???!!!! You are a very bad PSer for making us wait to see these rings!!! What a brilliant idea to get a fancy yellow eternity! 7 cts!!! Wow! I cannot wait to see both rings! The thing I love so much about the Vatche setting is that it gives the opportunity to wear so many different bands, and I am having trouble with the idea of giving that up but then I think the AVR would be so perfect in an antique setting! I may just keep my 1.5 as it is because there are a couple of bands I really want! I think I need two e-rings is what this boils down to! I'll be watching for your thread!!!

I have not bumped this for awhile because I had not yet found my upgrade diamond, but I have pretty much decided to sell it regardless, because I will be upgrading to something, hopefully in the near future!

I may keep the setting and just have the head replaced for the new diamond, but I would sell it at the asking price of $1200 or close to that.

I do want to sell the diamond, however, to put toward my upgrade and to buy a diamond for a RHR that I recently acquired!

Thank you so much! I really love this ring and just wish I could fatten up the diamond a little! It will be a good buy if the right person happens to see it!
