Need help with an engagement ring with aquamarine

I was thinking about incorporating aquamarine into an engagement ring. I have a March birthday, she has an April birthday. I've spent a little time looking, but the only thing I can find are halo rings with a center aquamarine stone. I was thinking about maybe a center diamond with a small aquamarine on either side. Anyone seen anything like that or think it would look good? What about a halo with aquamarines surrounding a diamond? I don't want anything too big or flashy looking, and would prefer to stay under 5-7k. Thanks!

I would really advise against an aquamarine halo for a few reasons. Aqua is a very brittle stone and not meant for everyday wear. She will probably crack it and you would need to replace it down the line. Aqua's also get dirty very quickly and it can be a pain to clean. Finally unless she specifcally said she wants a surprise aqua/ or any aqua for that matter incorporated into the ring I think it is always a very bad idea to bring color into an ering. It can look very tacky if not done well.

Now with that said many people do surprizs birthstones on the inside of the shank for sentimental reasons. You only see it when she takes the ring off so it is not visible from the outside. You couldn't do this with a stock setting but would need a custom ring. With your budget you could ask IDJ, BGD, WF or most of the PS vendors to see how much it would costs.

Honestly instead of getting an aqua in the ering how about a nice diamond and aqua stacker for her to wear on occasion with her wedding set? Someone on here has a baguette stacker that has aquas in it from IDJ that she stacks with her wedding rings and it is stunning.
