Need Expert advice on this diamond and the price difference!

Re: Need Expert advice on this diamond and the price differe

You would need to get a copy of the GIA certificate or put on here what it says specifically on it so we can tell. An ASET image of the diamond if they are able to do that would also be helpful

Re: Need Expert advice on this diamond and the price differe

Could be a price typo too so I would contact the vendor for clarification. An additional note; I'm not sure if I feel comfortable with an extremely thin girdle on a 4 pointy cornered princess cut stone.

Re: Need Expert advice on this diamond and the price differe

But if the price is actually what is mentioned, (i have already written to the vendor), is it worth buying even with the extremely thin girdle?

Re: Need Expert advice on this diamond and the price differe

If the price checks out and the ASET is good, of course I'd get the diamond. And I will definitely insure it as well, which takes some worry off the girdle concern.

I will ask the vendor for ASET of the piece and will post it here. Thank you for your valuable advice.

Re: Need Expert advice on this diamond and the price differe

I have never heard of that vendor, first of all, and if you expand the search to stones below 5 cts, the prices are still not right. So I wouldn't be expecting this to be correct. I would think wholesale prices would be more than these prices, unless these are clarity enhanced or something.

examples:

3 ct F VS1 for $16k (I wish!)

4 ct G VS1 for $22k

Are you in India? Because that is where the location setting was.

A 3 ct F VS1 princess cut at the lowest price is $52,000 on the US listings.
