Hi guys,

I am still very new and have a lot to learn, so please be gentle!

My girlfriend really likes the Tacori Ribbon Style # 2573PR7.
This is a picture of the ring: http://www.tacori.com/engagement/rings/2573pr7.html

I contacted WF and they told me that they have Style # 2573MDRD75: http://www.tacori.com/engagement/rings/2573mdrd75.html
WF told me that this style can hold a round or princess.

With my budget of $4,000 to $5,000, they recommended me these two stones:

Is this an okay buy, or are there any good (hopefully affordable) alternatives out there?

Thank you very much!

I have a tacori style ring that was made by David Klass. I guess opinions on him are mixed on here but I have been happy with his work.

I will try to dig up pictures of this ring-- my phone is terrible at pictures. if I can get that squared away I will post them. The price was 1/3 of the tacori price.

Hope you find a picture! I would love to see it.

So the big question is, does she like a round or princess cut diamond more?

The setting is very pretty!

I believe she likes princess the most, but she is a fan of the round as well!

How are the diamonds the rep suggested?

The HCA grade was around 1.0 for both.

Also, I was thinking of increasing my budget so I could get a slightly bigger diamond. Or is 0.7 plenty?

Sorry for the many questions, and thank you!

I did find a picture of the Tacori inspired ring that David Klass made me. This is a 14k gold ring with 1/2pt stones in the halo. The price for this setting in 14k was $1400 including .70ct of G/VS diamonds in the setting. Tacori wanted $3600 in 18k and the setting was .37ct. I had the halo made larger because I really wanted a round in an obvious cushion halo. The original ring had very small stones in a sort of underhalo that I didn't care for as much.

Wow! I would look into this bench -- this ring is STUNNING! Regarding the settings, I like this one much more because of the profile... I'm not a fan of the big "U" profile on the profile of the head. This is the one I love (the one she loved)

I would see if David Klass could make this for you.
