Found this site about a week ago and have been trying to soak in as much info as I can before I make a purchase. Here is what I'm looking for:
Budget: $6k max with setting (and with wedding ring if possible)
Carat: ~1
Cut: Excellent
Color: I or better
Clarity: Eye Clean (SI2?)
Certification: GIA
Setting: see pic
Seems like the stone will be around ~4.5k. Not sure how much the setting would be? The attached pic was something I saw at the jewlery exchange, the woman told me the setting was 1ct worth of diamonds and was similar to a chanel setting. She quoted me $1.8k for the setting. Haven't been able to find anything like it online. The stone was a 1.03 ct, F color, Eye clean diamond with no certification for $4.2k. I really really like how it looked but didn't want to buy it because it wasn't certified and I had nothing to go off of except what I was being told.
Can anyone point me in the right direction or give me a few examples. I see alot of diamonds, I just don't know which ones "look" good. I can filter the specs based on the info I've gotten from this website but when it comes to looking at a diamond, I'm not sure I have the eye for it...
