Hi PSer''s. We finally ordered our ring and are really excited. I just want to share our story and give credit to Whiteflash for their outstanding customer service (esp. Katie!).

We started looking casually since last summer. I was oppose to purchasing online, because I firmly believed that I should be able to see the diamond before putting down so much money. However, one of my very close friends got her e-ring from Whiteflash and suggested that I take a look. Being a student, this was an opportunity for me to procrastinate from studying.

So I went on to their website, and was amazed and very impressed. WF provided so much information about their stones, their website was very easy to navigate thru, beautiful pictures, and soon I was hooked.

About three weeks ago, we found our stone. It''s beautiful. ACA 1.2 F VS1. At that time, WF didn''t have the stone yet and could show us any pictures. We were basing our purchase on numbers only. I was quite nervous, but Katie was great! She reassured me that it''s a beautiful stone and that if I really don''t like it, they have a great return policy.

Then we had to decide on a setting. Originally we were set on WF''s Tiffany Knife-Edge platinum, but after reading about the SuperbCert''s Tiffany and seeing all the pictures on this forum, I was torn between the two. I talked to both companies and was going to order the setting from SC and have WF set the diamond. This decision kept me up for many nights, because of the warrantee issue on the setting. I spoke with Katie again, and was told that the two settings are very similar. But I''m a very picky person and can usually see every tiny detail. I knew the details would bug me. I talked to Katie again, and she said that they''re gonna stand by my decision whatever it may be, and told me that they can modify their setting to my liking if I want. (How cool is that?!) So me and my soon-to-be-hubby talked it over, and decided to order from WF if they can modify their setting. Long story short...I emailed WF with what I want (the differences I see between the two settings). Katie called and emailed me the next morning, and told me that the design team, CEO and some other big people are meeting about it and will let me know by the afternoon.

OMG! They''re meeting about my setting?! I was very surprised and impressed! I stayed by the phone and checked my email every 2 minutes. I was so excited! Katie emailed me and said they can do it! Yay!!

I''m so impressed with their customer service. They are the BEST! Very prompt with returning phone calls and emails. Very patient with my indecisiveness and with all my questions. My purchase is very modest compared to some of the other rings/items I see here. So I''m very surprised they treat me like I too was making a big purchase. Katie, if you''re reading this, THANK YOU!

Okie...sorry this is so long. The ring will be done in a weeks. Yippee! I will post WF pictures when I get them. Not sure when I''m going to get the actual ring for hand shots. You guys have to ask my other half.

i was really concerned about the head and couldn''t decided btw the SC setting and the WF setting. here''s a comparison picture i found on this site. if you compare my pics to the pics below, the WF setting is very similar to the real Tiffany''s. (order: SC, Tiffany&CO., WF)

to clarify...my setting is a modified version of WF''s Tiffany''s knife-edge setting. i told them the differences i saw btw the settings and asked them to modify their setting a little. WF was great to work with. now i''m just waiting for BF to pop the question.

That is just beautiful! I think the closer they can make that setting to the Tiffany, the more they will sell. That is definitely one of my very favorite settings!

Very nice. You''re right about the head being like a Tiffany replica. Also reminded me of the sunburst MVM setting somewhat with the flower-shaped head.

i can''t wait to post hand shots too! he has the ring right now, and i think he wants to talk to my parents and his parents first before i get to wear it. i know there''s no surprise with the ring, but i''m hoping there''ll be one when he proposes.

i''ll get some hand shots up as soon as he offically pops the question. fingers crossed...maybe the coming weekend?

Elaineh, I LOVE your ring!!!! I just ordered the wf tiffany knife edge yesterday! Then, last night, I was studying other wf knife edge settings and saw yours and said OMG, now THAT is perfect! I''ve called Celina (my sales person at WF) and we have production on HOLD now until we can figure out how to make my head like this! How long did it take them to do yours?

omg, the wait is unbearable! i''m trying to keep busy and not think about it or obsess about it. i ask him every other day or so if he''d talked to his parents or my parents yet, and he says no everytime.

and then i say "we''re never going to get engaged and i''m never going to wear the ring"

but he tells me it''s gonna be soon...but soon is not good enough!

and that concludes my mini breakdown...

*sigh* i know it''s going to happen this summer, but i only see him on the weekends. so every weekend is like a rollercoaster.

Waiting is just the worst thing. I hate it. So sorry you have to go weekend to weekend like that. Maybe he has talked to the parents and is just saying no? Hope so.

About the ring: It looks just FAB!!! I would really like to see some close ups of the side of the ring, once you get it. As well as hand shots. I bet it will look perfect on your hand. Don''t forget to tell us your ring size when you post. So exciting that you''ve started a new ring look at WF!

how much was the setting for you? and what did you tell them when referring to this adjusted setting? I may just end up choose this setting....still think i like 4 prongs better than 6 prongs though. Less metal

scott33 - it''s the same as the tiffany knife edge on their website. i think it''s a little over $1100. we wired money, so we got 2% off. i''m not sure exactly what i told them (sorry it''s late)...but it''s something along the lines of changing the V prongs to be more U, thinning the base of the prongs cuz it''s too much metal and a few other things. if you show them my picture, i''m sure they can make you one exactly like mine. in the beginning, we considered the 4 prongs, but bf like the secure look of the 6 prongs. since he''s rarely picky, i take his opinion very seriously and since he''s paying for it, i want him to be happy. i hope this helps.
